I'm a converted Orthodox Texan, Bears, with the anchor babies to prove it.

I'd much rather be labeled as stupid than as an elite liberal socialist.

Please connect the dots with metal Somalia and defense and 9/11. 9/11 was an.intelligence failure at best. Clinton told Bush about OBL but in bush defense i doubt OBL could have been stopped.

Republican held Congress till 08. You don't defund a war when you are right in the middle of it.

Bush was and is an embarrassment of the first magnitude.

IF what you say is true, then feeding soy and estrogen products to a pregnant woman would make the baby gay at birth. Far-fetched, ain't it? So is your genetic theory because a pervert isn't born a pervert.

We are talking genetics. I sarcasticly said the above statement. I don't believe in the soy theory, mearly making a point. The bottom line is that homosexuality isn't determined in the womb!

Ms Tree-...When did I say perversions are OK?

You didn't and I don't remember accusing you of it. Get with reality and leave your delusions behind. Quit twisting my words.

Ms Tree-When did we start talking about the Catholic Church?

We didn't and I don't even know where that came from. You apparently have issues with the Catholic Church. Were you molested by a priest...seeing they are all perverts!!! In case you don't realize it, I am being sarcastic to prove a point. So twist all you want...ha-ha.

As far as the right telling you what to do, the left does, too. Only since their constituents IQ is below a shoe size, they don't have to assert much effort.

Now twist that one, treehugger!

What are your family values?

Here's mine: Two people lucky enough to meet and fall in love in this world deserve the right to be together & left alone by the rest of us.

If they happen to have children in the mix, as long as it's a healthy/safe/loving home, I couldn't care less what gender(s) the parents are.

"Family" is what you make it, and that can take on many, many forms.

What are your family values? Perversion is OK as long as it isn't a white man child molester?
I took this to imply that I believe perversions are OK not that you thought they were OK.

You mentioned white child molesters, I just connected the dots.

I have huge issues with an institution that seems to encourage and protect known rapists.

Sure, half the population is stupid and only conservatives know what is good for the country. And you wonder why no one takes you seriously on this site?

Now for the main issue. You said that you do not believe that being gay is genetic. You said it occurs out side the womb yet you have nothing to support that theory. Saying that it occurs out side the womb implies that it is a choice and that it is a learned behavior. There is not a shred of evidence to support that theory. I have yet to speak with a single person who can remember making a choice about their sexual orientation. I know I did not nor any one I know. When exactly did you chose? Did you try other sexual variations other than the one you ended up choosing?
You can believe what you want, I just look at the evidence. You have nothing to support your beliefs.

Maybe in your opinion. At least Bush played the cards he was dealt, as opposed to blaming his predecessor. It would have been easy to blame the early 2001 economic issues on the Dot Com Bust, which happened under Clinton. It would have been easy to blame 9/11 on Clinton's slash & burn approach to defense spending and ineffective handling of Somalia.

But he didn't do that. He just dealt with it.

Obama, on the other hand, has spent three years blaming Bush. I'm sure his name will continue to come up in the run-up to the election.

Oh, and on the war funding?....

Since you're such the constitutional scholar, I'm sure you realize that it is Congress who decides if a war is funded, right?

Maybe you should ring up Nancy and Harry and ask them why *they* chose to continue funding the war with deficit spending. They could have cut off the money at any time.

Or, you could just accept the fact that they were happy to take it off budget so that they didn't have to be accountable for anything, just as they've continued to prove in the last three years by never coming up with a budget.

No, I'm pretty certain that Obama has proven to be an ineffective leader. You have to lead to be a leader, even if it's in the wrong direction.

As you pointed out above, Congress controls the purse strings. Who controlled Congress from 1995-2001? The POTUS can submit a budget but Congress is the one who passes the budget. The POTUS can either veto it or sign it. The cuts that were made were done with the consent of a republican Congress.

Regardless of the budget, the military has been a bloated over fed pig for decades. The amount of the budget does not correlate to the quality of the military. Isn't that the saying conservatives use when they cut education spending? “It's not a money issue, it's an efficiency issue”.

Oh wow. She really said it. Freaking amazing. I loved the part about not changing thousands of years of history. I guess she missed the history class on Chattell marriages. Dowries, daughters being married off to form alliances..... etc Perhaps she was too busy getting knocked up by her boyfriend out of wed lock and now raising her kid in a single parent home with out a father.

She has the right to her opinion. Many share it. Get over it. You're an atheiest so don't preach Judeo-Christian values like having kids out of wedlock.

You don't have to be bright to have an opinion, just the ability to render one. Yet another fine example of the anti-christian bigotry on the left.

Obama selling support to the highest bidder. Now that's Hope & Change we can all yawn over.

How can you claim to be an Atheist, believe in evolution and darwinism and still think homosexuality is genetic?

How does a genetic trait that is so destructive in its very design that it can’t even procreate, survive the Darwin test?

Where’s your proof that it is genetic?

Can you please point out where I said she did not have the right to voice her opinion? Ill wait.

I was not preaching any values. I was merely pointing out the hypocrisy of her opinion that having a two parent family being better than a single parent family like hers.

I am not aware of any instances where us anti Christian bigots ever deprived you not so bright religious zealots from espousing your ignorance. As far as I am aware, the ACB hand book actually encourages such behavior.

Yes politicians pander. Tell us something we don't know. Ooh ooh. Tell us a story about how Paul Will save the world from our selves.

Where's the hypocrisy? She grew up in a two-parent family, and now she's seeing first hand the impact of being a single parent.

It's not like she sought out to be a single parent -- Johnston turned out to be a dirtbag and a deadbeat -- he's $38,000 behind in his child support payments. He'd have probably been a dirtbag and a deadbeat even if they'd been married when their child was born.

Seems to me she's a lot more qualified to speak out on it than someone who hasn't experienced both points of comparison.
