We need more subfleets. Lol.
And just to clarify, DL FAs are still required to be qualified on all of them, correct?

Correct

I have a question for you baba

what do you think about having FAs have to take a physical yearly? I ask because some of the super senior FAs and some FAs that have a ahem weight problem, seem like they would be more of a problem than help in a crash.

Im not big into having an age limit like pilots, but i wouldn't be against more physical testing. JMO

more importantly, I agree with Kev, I hope people see stuff like this to see what your real job is.

I really haven't given it much thought about a yearly physical requirement .
However I have thought about a "hatch" requirement.
With the L1011 towards the end we were required to fit through
The escape hatch.
With the current lower crew bunks we also have an emergency
Escape hatch however NO requirement to fit through.
I think we should
But we also have a requirement to fit in the jump seat (belted)
If you can't fit the seat belt then you don't pass CQ

wasn't the physical inabilities the reason why the most senior FA was asked to step aside?

what specifically was the issue there? I presume it wasn't something that could have been a problem just for him?

I agree that being able to get out of the hatches should be required.

Its stuff like that that I am talking about. Some FAs.....I just don't see it happening.

but I didn't know about the jump seat thing.
