It is not an ethinicty, its a religion, there is no place called "jewish land".
 
And dont claim its Israel, if you are from there you are Israeli.
 
I was born in Brooklyn NY and both my parents were jewish.
 
Show me on a job application or the US Census where Jewish is a race.

I never claimed it is, I am saying myself and many other Jews (but apparently not you) identify the culture and traditions as a part of our ethnicity. Again your feelings are your business. You know what they say? Two Jews, three opinions, now I see why we are always stepping on each others toes.

I totally understand the culture, lived it as a kid, my stepfather was from Poland and in the camps, I have been to Israel several times myself.

Certainly is an ethnicity that myself and most other American Jews identify as our heritage and family traditions. So yes it is both an ethnicity and religion. There are people who are born to a Jewish mother who are ethnically Jewish but may not be practicing the faith. On the other hand there are people who are not raised Jewish but who undertake a formal conversion. Within the community there are different interpretations of who is Jewish depending on the individual and situation-many reform Jews will say someone with at least one Jewish parent and raised under the Jewish traditions and values is sufficiently Jewish. To be covered under the Law of Return, you have to either be born to a Jewish mother OR undergone a formal conversion:

So yes, as far as myself and many are concerned we DO identify being Jewish as our ethnicity.

Texan faces hate-crime charges in 'knockout game' case

 

A white Texas man faces federal hate-crime charges in an assault on a 79-year-old black man during a form of the "knockout game," prosecutors said Thursday.
Conrad Alvin Barrett, 27, is charged with violating the federal Matthew Shepard and James Byrd Jr. Hate Crimes Prevention Act, the Justice Department said. The complaint alleges that Barrett, of Katy, near Houston, attacked the man Nov. 24, recorded the assault on his cellphone and showed the video to others.
The complaint says Barrett made several videos, including one in which he identifies himself and another in which he makes a racial slur. It also says Barrett had been working up to playing the knockout game for about a week.
According to the complaint, Barrett says in the video that "the plan is to see if I were to hit a black person, would this be nationally televised?"

Let's call this what it really is, the result of a liberal agenda. The government refuses to punish criminals adequately. They may charge them with 5 crimes but, the prisoners serve them congruently and not consecutively. Ten to fifteen years for murder one is a joke. Three violent felonies should put anyone away until they drop dead. Criminals have no fear of the law anymore (the ones the government actually enforce that is). That is why we are seeing out of control murder rates in this country. The government needs to start wholesale executing people arrested for murder. What makes this situation even worse is the government punishes you for defending yourself. The government wants you to be totally dependent on them for your personal protection.
