Then why are you saying that I "spilt the beans" I've only reiterated what others have said previously on here. If there is going to be a big announcement thats great news! I welcome it! It will definitley be a great change of pace around here. But all this " I know but can't tell" stuff is childish. Like I said it just gets people speculating and thats how rumors get started that may differ from what is actually is going on. You remind me of that kid on school who is always raising there hand "teacher, teacher, I know, I know".

hey it will all be worth it in the end my friend. . i posted an annoucemnt . an announcemnt that there were 375 openings in phl for june. i knew this before it was posted in catcrew but elected to post it after it was announced because it was still "a rumor" now, i know why they have 375 openings in phl for june . but i will not post it because it's still "a rumor" until it has been announced by tempe. tempe can change there mind you know and then i will look bad and so will my sources. so i am not posting a thing on this public forum until tempe lets it out first. because for legal reasons it's still a specualtion and hasn't been proven true.

the BAD is if they displace and bump, not absorb, those that get bumped would be their second displacement and second company paid move.

There will be no bump and flush. With 100 out of PIT (number that has been floating around for awhile) and 375 openings in PHL there will not be a bump and flush as people will have to voluntarily transfer.

Think about this folks.
If there are 375 openings in PHL, 30 in LGA, 20 in BOS, and 20 in DCA that equals 445 openings system wide.

With only 100 needing to leave PIT and maybe a few from another base, sounds like possible recall. Wouldn't you think. 😉 Read between the line folks

recalls can help but...if 100 goto clt it will cause bump and flush remember pit now is over 11 yrs senority

It's time to stop trying to staff LGA and just close it. The company can't keep anyone there. Make it a satelite base off of PHL, but this TDYing all the time there is stupid and a waste of money. Geez, send the time to CLT.

How many months do we have to see 30-50 opennings in LGA for the company to get it. Nobody can afford to live there. What a waste!!

ok guys . i was just informed by my source that part of the announcement is slated to go out tomorrow . it has been very frustrating because the company is coming out with this stuff in drips . once again please be patient . the rest of the announcement will be made on monday. there are some issues that need to be worked out. i really want to tell you guys . beleive me i do . but if i do . people can get in to trouble and these people are good people . please understand my position here.

Is it not cheaper to have flight attendants in the base, than it would be to have 100+ hotel rooms a night foor overnighting crews? That would be the reason i would think for a company to have a base in a city...cheaper than nightly and potentially costly multiple hotel rooms.

OK then the company needs to give the Flight Attendants a cost of living increase and more call out time on Reserve (like most other airlines) so it's affordable. NYC and the surrounding area is expensive! The numbers don't lie. The company spends more money on TDY and displacements than they do any hotel rooms. Every month they need 25-50 more people in LGA! It's just one big Merry Go Round. Just put the base out of it's misery or give people incentive to the based there.
