What's new

767-300 Winglets

Kit # 2 is on the way to Delta, kit # 3 will be sent to MCI to be done on the 767-300 MAUI prototype in Sept after certified by the feds...............
AA has 36 kits set aside as soon as they are made up, ( better off waiting a few sets to get the MANY enginering probs worked out ) after looking at the dock plan, 2 lines run at each line 32 day turn.....

They will not let AFW do the winglet mod on the 767, not enough sheet metal guys to do that type of mod, not enough experenced guys, the old farts in MCI are the best in the bussiness.......... <_<

 I`ll have to disagree there. We have some great sheetmetal guys and plenty of experience. If you saw the guys doing the jeteye mod I think you`d have a different assesment.

Not to knock the AFW guys but, What does the JETEYE mod consist of?

🙄 Well now this is probably not the place to go into specifics. The airplane is jacked and shored with plenty of fabrication work in progress. Our guys are doing a great job. They really thrive on challenging work such as this.

OK keep up the good work................................

Its all well and good that some of you think this plane looks "ultra cool" with these winglets..but what about the inside of these grizzled up old tuna boats..?

As someone who spends hours looking at the interior ( along with our paying passengers) as opposed to the exterior, I just can t get excited knowing about a winglet when all I see is blue duct tape and broken outdated cabin items/fixtures/materials..

sorry.......

Debbie Downer..

I've always wondered why they updated the first class and fwd coach section but left the back with the same old sidewalls and ovhd bins. I know, money. However IMO they should have stretched the conversion out longer so you would have commonality thoughout the 767 fleet.
