What's new

767-300 Winglets

is tail #389 the one we are leasing to Boeing for a year so they can do tests or is it entering commerical service?

<_< ------ You may get to see it sooner than you think. They're talking about flying it, possibly in the next few days! I still feel you can't really get a feel of what it really looks like till it's out on the ramp, out away from all the wing docks, etc.!

 Hey saw the pics of 389 on the mci website today. Good job guys it looks great. I look forward to seeing that mod done here at AFW !!! 😀

How many of the 130 kits mentioned as sold by APB are going to AA?

I remember reading when these were first announced that AA bought 58 sets - to equip all of the 763s. Half a million gallons a year saved multiplied by 58 airplanes multiplied by yesterday's spot price of about $3.80/gal equals annual fuel savings of about $110 million. Impressive.

<_< ------ Great pictures Eric! I see they got a picture of their 73 year old test pilot! Guy has some big Caonas! Broke ground and went almost stright up!!! Plane was extremly light. No seats. Just enough fuel to get him to California! 🙄
