A A to get $ 5.5B, plus $ 2 B MORE, if needed !!

2.2 trillion. There are pork bellies in there for bailing out states that are mismanaged and those governors failed. Now they want federal bail out to fix something that those states refuse to fix themselves so they can repeat their mistakes. That's federal tax dollars that needs to be used for the citizens that are affected by Covid-19 directly not mismanaged states who feel entitled.

Have you seen his tax returns? All I hear is sources tell us. Just like the whistle blower witness that never surfaced in the impeachment hearings. I hate to see jobs get dumped but 2.2 trillion for stuff not related to the relief bailout will cost you and I in taxes we pay. The Democrats are taking advantage with no regard of the American workers who pay taxes. They need to come to their senses and come up with a recovery bailout that is for its intended purpose. I think it will go down to the wire and some compromising will take place. If not then our government has shown they care more about their political parties and agendas on the backs of the American people.
They have shown that for years.

Actually there are several different therapeutics, which is why the death rate has dropped way down.
Your just not hearing much about this in the mainstream press because they want you scared and locked down.
Rapid testing is becoming more and more available and by mid fall should be the norm.

you're right, the fatality rate has gone down due to a few factors, including the therapeutic drug remdesivir.

unfortunately, that drug doesn't totally eliminate the virus in one's system and there still are flying bans/travel bans/14 day self-quarantine orders and regulations around the world.

this needs to change ASAP for the airlines.

DP was on cnn this morning. First question asked of him by CNN was...if Mnuchin called him n asked him bvb to hold off on furloughs would parker agree... Parker responded by saying he would. It was interesting to see him on cnn

I wouldn't hold my breath waiting on that call from Mnuchin...

Senate voted for cloture yesterday on the continuing resolution to avoid a shutdown, but there's nothing in it for PSP, Amtrak or airlines.

It doesn't look like they've taken up the revised House bill at the lower amount, or the proposed Senate bill that's focused on PSP alone.

It's time to rip off the band-aid, folks. We had six months advance notice of layoffs, and those provisions of CARES act expire in about 12 hours...

There's bipartisan support something is definitely going to get done. When? .......who knows

It was just on the news that they have not yet come to an agreement but are still working on it even though it is after the deadline. Maybe the airlines could hold off while they are still in nego's but with a drop dead time frame of when it will start without an agreement extension. Was it United who said they will put off layoffs for one more month? Why can't they all do this in hopes of an agreement for extension. Just put a rock solid hard date on it, like, "layoffs will begin on Nov. 1st if there is no agreement to extend the PSP." Or if need be set it for 2 weeks out.

I believe that SWA as well as Delta both were able to raise 15 billion in cash and reserves where AA is going further into debt by that same amount and could get even larger into debt than that when it is all said and done.

can you explain what you mean by this? i took it as you're saying that southwest and delta have raised money that doesn't add to their debt and doesn't have to be paid back because you wrote this in the same post:

Could it be why they are asking for the leftovers from Delta and SWA that did not partake in the Gov loans that do have to be paid back?

anyways, yes, aa has to pay the govt. back. so does delta. i looked up the interest rates. our leftovers are cheaper than delta's.

A rock solid date was in place but Nancy Fu*ked around to long

UA & DL pilots have until 11/1.

UA dispatchers' layoffs are pending while PAFCA works through the company's offer.

It's been 10/1 for months now...

Yes it does. In fact it matters a lot.

No YOU don't give a "chit"

Of course YOU would feel that way, you brag all the time about taking advantage of taxpayers.

Don't speak for me.

I DON'T take advantage of Taxpayers, La'.

I play by the IRS Rules. I fill-in all the blanks on the form-1040, backed-up with proof from my W2's, and when I get to the Bottom line of the form, it says Zero REFUND due, followed by AMOUNT DUE....... " $ 0.00 " !

So STOP your F CRYING to me.
Go cry to eolesen, or Knucklehead Smith, A K A, 'Short Arm' Inspector, Insp69, instead !!

Current counts:

Does not count Compass, ExpressJet or Trans States full shut downs.

Should I go pull some of your old posts?

You brag about benefiting from socialism all the time, usually with some snarky remark telling the reader to "keep paying those taxes ha ha ha".

That is not a baseless charge, it is a fact. Anyone that reads your posts with any regularity will know this to be true.
