Not quite, Rand Paul did vote against unanimous consent on the bill to continue the government past 10/1. He's consistent in not voting for bills that allow Congress to ignore the requirement to have a budget by 10/1.

I have never attacked Social Security, ever.

In fact I stated that when you are forced to make an investment (Social Security tax) you should expect to get a return on your investment.

That being said the $600 a week in unemployment benefits is a joke. That FAR exceeds what many people made working and disincentivises them from returning to work.

So is an Amtrak pension. They should have put Amtrak out of it's misery decades ago. The fact the tax payers are having to fund pensions for overpaid UNION workers in that money losing stinker is appalling.

Most of the cash and reserves raised by both Delta and SWA were for selling assets, stock etc., some were loans at a very low interest rates so debt will no way increase like it just did at AA and United. SWA (not sure about Delta) also has many more avenues they can still tap if need be.
Was mainly comparing how quickly AA and United's debt has increased in just a matter of a month or so. There is a huge reason behind why SWA did not take any of the gov's loans that were offered.

Pelosi and crew f*cked all that up once again. I know Kev., I was speaking as if they could have put the layoffs off for another month like the other two airlines did to see if there is a deal, but make very adimate that the layoffs would happen no later than Nov. 1 if no agreement was done.

That is the trap of working for an airline. Much of what you do for an airline is not marketable anywhere else (like cleaning aircraft interiors at TULE like I did). Even if it is marketable at other places it is doubtful they pay nearly as well as the airlines (good luck using your A&P skills to make over 100k/yr outside of an airline, though I am sure you could leverage those skills to find a decent paying job). That is why I encourage people to get a degree or a fallback skill to leverage during slow times. Get a CDL or hell learn welding. My cousin is a welder and he pulls 6 figures a year.

Oh it goes beyond that. You have people like AoC threatening more "peaceful protest" if Trump wins. Notice that protesting is mostly in BLUE states. That is no coincidence. Democrats are the real fascists.
