A Call For Action!

Agree, APFA responds too emotionally to these things. They don't think this stuff out. I am tired of all the emotions clogging the brain when it comes to action. I am waiting for something new and creative. Not another bag tag or somebody asking me to show up at a rally wearing boots.
Well it could be worse, you could still be under the twu were the most original call for action would be: "Stand down, we'll get em next time."

And just what would you do? And, remember, it has to comport with all laws. Truly, let us all know. Maybe your ideas can get done.

....Or the infamous TWU "will strike if provoked" snake shirts!!!!

The same thing will happen as the last time the elitist club got theirs.....NOTHING!

I was editing my post to include a mention to that silly shirt just as you posted it - honest. 😀

I just flew over 16k miles on a dozen domestic segments the last three days and didn't see a single tag. Not that tags are gonna change greedy management minds anyway. Money spent on tags was indeed wasted.

Lotsa heat, very little light.

Kinda reminds me of the "will strike if provoked" TWU snake t-shirts.

I disagree with you ....as usual. No one thought in their right mind that bag tags would change executive minds. It is all a process of showing unity. In 1993 we had bag tags that said "Ready", "Willing", and "Able". No one thought we could pull of a strike but we did. Part of the success were signs like these that told your fellow workier that you were fed up. That is how unions are successful. Its a collective voice. I believe that this is just a start. So far I am pleased that Laura Glading is taking a vocal stand and I and my most of my counterparts stand behind her.

One issue is that the tag is worn behind your ID, so its kind of hard to see. Second is the fact that its grey...not really a loud color to catch your eye. Whatever, I'll wear all the pins and tags you ask me to. Just get working on that contract.

Couldn't someone just ask Arpey if he and the others took the bonus??

You would have to get through his secretary, his secretaries secretary and his bodyguards before you can even speak to the a**. If you send an email to him, his secretary screens them all. Good luck getting in touch with our Criminal.

When your worth $$$$$ Millions you can live like a Hollywood Star!

They took the bonus!

I question my own response. Were these monies bonuses or just part of their contract compensation package? As I understand it the stock distributions to the 5 upper managers amount to about 3.5-4 million. If it is in their contract they should be paid.

Well said. There's no justification for denying anyone contractual pay. Had AA said it would not pay the pilots for the lost MD-80 hours I would be saying the same thing. It swings both ways.
