A TOTAL WEEK OF B.S. BY THE TWU

It almost sounds as though you knew before the TWU did that non-compensatory items would be only allowed in discussions. Yet the recap says the TWU didn't know until day one when informed by the mediator.

How did you know in advance and who is the "we" you talk about? You have a mouse in your pocket?

Who is running this show anyway?

Your tin foil is showing, guys. When I said "we" it was referring to anytime I'm planning on-site meetings with a client, or a workshop where the client comes to our offices. Since those of us in the real world actually have to plan our travel, the worst thing you can do is run short on time on an agenda, and try to hold people over another day.

So, no mice in the pocket. Just some lint, the ability to read the note posted above and on another thread, which spelled out the mediator's plan for the week, and an appreciation of what goes into meeting planning after having been involved with commercial negotiations between various companies.

Seriously, and more direct to the silly accusations, one would have to be an absolute idiot to be directly involved in the negotiations and post anything here using their real name. Not only would it be career limiting, but it would also likely violate non-disclosures between the parties and the NMB.

You'll notice that Bob Owens has shown a lot of restraint in that regard. I doubt it's out of consideration for the TWU.

Bob has been very outspoken and extremely bold considering his union position, which I applaud. I'm shocked at his level of restraint and speculate he has been given a very stern warning. We can only wonder what his thoughts are now in regard to his comments last week.

I think the companys assumptions are wrong. They say they dont understand why we turned down the TA, we've been telling them for three years but they refuse to listen to us, the APFA or the APA. We sent them a clear message by rejecting the TA.

By the end of the week it will be clear to everyone whether or not the company got the message.

If they didnt get the message through us or through a rejected TA we have to try another way, a way that gets them to listen.

Next week is Christmas.

Another year of concessions coming to an end.

The TWU never polled the membership? Thats a lie straight from the TWU not once did we get a poll or was spoken too...... At least not in DFW... They have no Idea what we want....

Chris,

The twu int. knows EXACTLY what we want. But they will NEVER press the company for it because THAT will anger the company and the twu CAN NOT anger AA.

GO AMP!

I recall the president from JFK stating there aren't enough A/Ps to go around...

The whole collective bargaining process allows the company to hide behind the unions in times like these. It is the UNION protecting the CompAAny from paying market rates for our services.

If you can't fill up an E58 on your inspection card every night you aren't doing your job anyway, so why should they pay us more?

How true!
But the market rate argument only applies to executives, but not to A&P's...Accorfing to the pro company pundits here!
