Can someone yet confirm what kind of Envoy seats are going to be in service when this bird finally does do revenue flying?

Yeah well if the company loses their crew rest case for the flight attendants you won't have to worry about where that plane is. According to the company it won't be flying TLV. I can't WAIT to hear how this turns out.

The arbitration decision will take months to be given anyhow.

  Are U serious? If they loose the case they will cxl TLV. US is friggin amazing - what a mess of an airline.
Give the f/a's their friggin crew rest and be done with it. Wake UP US!

I call bluff on that one. They are already commited to the route .And if they do cancel it , so be it. I think its .it that the cabin crew is not getting adequate rest facilities on these long range a/c .

So we should just accept this as yet another slap in the face and move on?
the mods censored what i said. i said that i think is BS that the company is not giving us adequate crew rest facilities on the 330'200. and no we should not accept it and move on. We should continue to press the issue. Tyhe company has plans to go to other middle east dest out of phl and other long haul eastern eropean dest that would require a crew rest facility. If we let this go, its sets a presidence that we don't care . Anyway , we are off topic and i have to drive to the airport to catch my commute up to philly .Going to vegas tonight .

Kirby saying they wouldn't fly the TLV route or any other route over 12 hours if they lost the arbitration speaks VOLUMES as to what they think of flight attendants and their well being. It shows exactly what they think of us and how they regard flight attendants. This aircraft is the first of a few and certainly the company plans on going further with it or at least to other destinations as Etops said. Kirby said it in the last crew news. He said they wanted to wait for the A350 before they installed other crew rest facilities? I mean is he freakin' serious? I'll hold a block to the moon by the time we see THAT airplane fly. That A330-200 in Alabama is a joke. Great airplane but the whole process of getting to this point today is a clear indication of how this place is run. It's a shame. 🙄

Would it be better if younger FAs were used on these long haul flights? Perhaps the much older crew has difficulty in keeping up without added rest.

Don't take it personal. They've hated you less publicly for years.

You get used to it.

I agree. I don't think it would be worth it for them to take the bad PR hit just to prove a point. Plus, wouldn't it cost them a fortune to re-book all of those pax? I would assume that they would be obligated under their CofC to re-book existing reservations on other airlines.

I will contact my friends at DL 142 who were part of the IAM/CO Crew rest arbitration and see what it said as the IAM won that grievance at CO.

And ALCARLOS, I see your age discrimination training has not taken again.

No one should be forced to work 13+ hours without an adequate rest area, especially FAs who are safety specialist, in the event of an emergency do you want a tired FA running the show?

And age has nothing to do with rest in this matter.
