AA BK Decision Tues. 20th Sept.?

Gotta love the entertainment value this forum provides.......man, the company and it's puppet union must have some good psychologists.......or psychiatrists!!!

At this point, does anyone really care if AA goes BK.....it's certainly out my control and I'm riding this TITAANIC all the way to the sea floor. I want to personally meet the BK judge, so bring it on. I'm just tired of the games!

can we put it off a day or two?

My brother, a 23 year AA veteran, will celebrate his BD on the 20th, BK or not.

I feel for all of you AA folks If the comp does file ch11 we at US know first hand what the rape is from the b@$trds at the helm and the judge. i hope you dont go ch 11 but if you do it will be real bad. US was written for dead numerous times yet we are still around. So I dont know if AA is that bad off or not but the only reason I can think of for AA to go CH 11 is to get rid of contracts u have and do what they please to do its sad and pathetic much like the entire mgmt team at both US and AA

Well, that's because US filed on a Sunday. Twice.

Maybe AA's figured out that filing on a Tuesday because it's a much nicer day to have to be in front of a judge than Sunday?

I never thought of that but you could be right! of course we all know how nice the judge was to the employees....NOT!!!!!

The judge might be might angry having to work on football Sunday!

Usually "stuff" (how is that for a business term) happens on a Fri. harder for people to react or respond when it is on a Fri.

Sunday afternoons are a very common time for bankruptcy filings.

i think i finally figured out what aa wanted with twa. the wanted our accountants. hell we went thru 2 bks that i remember, and if i recall only made money twice. but we kept flying and losing money for 20 years, now that is some damn good accounting. look soon as aa took us over aa started lose money.

Given the fact that ZERO information has been provided regarding "informal" TWU discussions held earlier this month, it wouldn't suprise me at all to see a pre-packaged BK filing.

Does anyone disagree that something needs to change? Restructuring was likely the mainstay for the financing deal for the new aircraft, and would also explain the Pilot retirement exodus.

I no longer fear it, in fact I think it should have been done in 2003.
