I've gotten to the point I really don't give a damn what the Centrepork infestation does - many here would be well served to quit worrying about it as the company and its union will continue their dog and pony show and, when all is said and swung, do whatever they want without our opinions and advice.
For my part, anything presented as a TA is DOA.
Let's start worrying about the important stuff like one-day sales on beer and porno sites that are virus free.

They didnt go infront of the Judge on Sunday, they took the petition to the court house and get the time stamp, thats all that is required to file. Then the first hearing occurs so the company can keep using funds to pay certain vendors, employees, etc.. And whom not to pay and stop any aircraft repossession.
If AA goes bust, maybe they'll a TV sitcom ala PanAm someday. So who'll play the part of Our CEO?

Traditionally, it would be either first thing in the morning, or after the market closes.
AMR got pummeled yesterday afternoon, losing 2.3% with a lot of volume, but it's up over 5% from the market open today, so I guess nobody on Wall Street got the text message or reads these forums...

Moody's has downgraded AA's credit (nothing like stating the obvious) but here's some doofus analysts who say that the Eagle spinoff supports a price target of $5.65/sh for AMR:

Moody's downgraded the outlook for AMR debt to negative yesterday citing concerns that AMR's cash could diminish by current obligations and continued losses, also noting that AMR has few unencumbered assets left.
Overall, demand is expected to fall off this winter, esp. to/from/within Europe.
looks like you posted as I started to write, FWA...I think the probably sees the selloff in AMR as a bit excessive based on the downgrade given that news is probably already "baked into" the current price.

I would imagine that AMR stock price will not decline much beyond where it is now unless AMR's losses exceed expectations or others manage to outperform - or significant indications arise that an AMR filing is imminent.
