I think it's flying again already, or any day now. Very little damage according to those working on it. Btw...the report says it took its first flight in 1999, just a little bit off.

Didn't realize it had already been covered. Boy did that thread turn to name calling quickly! How 'bout we keep any other posts about this topic on this thread? Without name calling. Please.

As for the subtitle of this topic, it's amazing how quickly an aircraft is sometimes back in service after this type of incident.

Not a bit off. N961TW is part of the last batch of MD80's Douglas made and was delivered to TWA (and certificated by the FAA) in 1999.
