Sorry that you miss us?

Why not do a graph showing amfa members (former) in comparision to the percentage of layoffs inconjunction with the decrease in wages they are now receiving working at walmart? Than come back with the whole story! Not just half-truths!

Well graphs are usually made up of two components on an X vs Y plane. I'm not sure what you are asking for.

The graph I made was a long term illustration of how our pay has performed vs inflation over a 20 year period. Its not a snapshot.

Before I go and make another graph tell me where you feel this graph is inaccurate. What is "the other half" of the story? How the TWU was able to get more members as a result?

Jim Little did not feel that it was inaccurate when I sent him a copy.

No response again CIO? Come and defend the track record that you speak of.

Hey Bob how would you like to be in his shoes defending an organization which is already dead... Sad part is alot of the dead don't know it so they wander about mouthing the tired slogans of the last century, another time and another place..

How much could you really expect from a person that hides his identity.. I think we had him pegged a long time ago ...... Keep up the good work Bob.

Thanks Jim;

Did you see the latest seniority list? For our class and craft it shows 14421!!
Title I 11816
Title II 2264
Title IV 131
SimTechs 118
TechSvcs 92

Basically the TWU and AA made sure that Aircraft Maint took the entire hit as far as jobs. Ironic when they were threatening to get rid of Title II. Just goes to show that they were already shorthanded and could not afford to really lose any of them, never mind contracting them out.

14421 ! Thats over 2000 less than when TWA and AA were merged! How many were there at TWA by the way? Basically we have the same as we had before. So we have the same amount of mechanics but three overhaul bases, and more routes. How can that be? Oh yea, we all work an extra week a year, for much less pay. So we have less workers, making less pay, working more. Great job TWU!

I'll never forget how the TWU officers and AA management cheered at Koziateks retirement party when Carty announced that his gift to the TWU in recognition of Koziateks retirement would be thousands of new members.

So if the company and the TWU are claiming that we have 18600 that means we actually have over 4000 people on layoff!! Plus all those that retired, quit etc and were not replaced, figure another 1500.

That means that in addition to losing over 20% of our compensation we also lost 25% of the jobs! Using their numbers.

In reality we lost a lot more jobs than the TWU is admitting even without the inflated numbers.

This thread has been here for over two months but the TWU avoids it. They do so for good reson, because it reflects an indisputable truth. And truth such as this is not good for the TWU.

On Monday, December 30, 2002 at 8:32 pm Jim Little sent the following response concerning the original graph of mechanics pay vs Inflation- this was from 1980 to 2001.

Bob,

Attached is a workbook with some charts for you to review. My numbers were slightly different, but the thrust of the arguement is sound. Anyone who might want to quiblke about the details cant't deny the trend, supporting the fact that wages have consistantly lagged infltion and over time have deteriorated in comparision.
Later,
Jim

The figures that Jim says were slightly different were for the rate of inflation, his numbers were higher which would be reflected as an even steeper decline in wages. My numbers were the official government CPI, which I agree, understate the real rate of inflation.

Well Allan Greenspan Owens, what the hell we gonna do? You just can't trust them southerners!

Especially when they are not really Southerners. I believe that Little is from Scotland and ended up in Texas via New York. That is what he claimed although I never picked up any brogue. He also claimed to be an Irish- scot, but down there he is probably the more acceptable Scots-Irish.

But then again with Little you never know what he is at any given moment, he is a chameleon, whatever color suits the enviornment.

That sounds familiar. As we hear it the Northwest Mechanics never know where Delle Femine is at any given moment....! Oh Yeah, He is most likely at the NMB pleading for mercy.....!!!!!!!!!!!

You better read Art Luby's latest NMB submission. It defines begging for mercy.
