AA/US continuation of good trend

Potential suitors circle American Airlines - sources

Morningstar airline analyst Basili Alukos said a Delta-AMR deal would require huge concessions of gates and routes to make a merger palatable to regulators.

"If I were a gambling person, I'd have to bet on a TPG-US Airways deal over a Delta deal., said Ray Neidl, aerospace analyst with Maxim Group.

Its all BS, AA will come out of Chapter 11 on their own, no one wants to dance with US, US still hasnt completed a merger that was 6 years ago.

Would you please stop saying that already .. It means nothing anymore .

Really please explain to me how it means nothing?

If an investor, other airline executives, unions etc look at how mergers fail, Doug Parker, HP/US are the top of the list.

Look at US/PS, US/PI, NW/DL, CO/UA as examples of how to merge, its inexcusable to have a merger not completed six years later, no savings from synergies yet.

And look at your group and the pilots, Six years and still no combined CBA.

How does it feel knowing Fleet and Maintenance are in negotiations for their second CBA since the merger and the CWA is in negotiations also.

How does it feel not having a raise or increase in benefits since 2005?

And sorry I wont stop posting how I feel and the reality of the situation.

If you dont like it, ignore me or dont read them.

Sorry the truth hurts you.

Ah, but US/PS, US/PI, NW/DL, CO/UA mergers took place without "the Tempe Frat Boys".

There are a lot of folks that would say Doug has been very successful at reducing redundancies, closing bases, parking legacy planes, and keeping labor costs extremely low. And he has done a masterful job of letting people fixate on one or two things that make it appear that he hasn't merged the company.

All of us PI folk got nice raises, I am not saying US/PS/PS wasnt a walk in the park but it certainly didnt take 6 years to merger.

How long did it take to destroy the entire PSA system?

How long did it take to destroy the careers of Piedmont employees?

How long did it take to go Chapter 11 twice?

USAir destoyed everything it touched.

We're lucky we didn't go Chapter 7.

He means all the mechanics USAir hired to push back Piedmont airplanes got raises.

No, I dont, because I was working air cargo in TPA at the time of the merger, so try again.

You're wrong about the raise then - "all" PI employees didn't get a "nice raise"...
