Why do you keep saying "THEY", "THEY", "THEY" like it's the whole US West F/A group that wants to put the furloughed US East at the bottom of the payscale? What the US WEST MEC Wants is to put everyone at the fair Parity Payscale. The same payscale as the US East. You are making everyone angry by your vicious postings and you are going to be the major cause of division among the flight attendant group. :angry:

The West f/as are operating under a different contract and are in section 6. You can not hurt the invols because you think that the U-East pay scale should now, at this minute be applied to the U-West f/as. The Invols will be working under the same contract as all the West f/as at that pay scale that West resides under. You are asking the invols to be "new hire" f/as at lower pay than their longevity (under your contract) allows. And worse, is that the company is willing to give the invols what our MEC-East request and they are arguing with the MEC-West on the issue. What do you suggest, that (EAST) be silent on the issue for the sake of risking a riff? Oh brother, you are sounding more and more like management in trying to silence us on what is "fair" and right. :angry:

Your issue above that you cite is not the full issue, but in pieces. You need to get the info from your leadership.

Management is not pitting people against each other HP Jack. The employees have no problem doing that on their own.
 
We are referring to Europe. Your base will likely never see it.


The city of Phoenix is one of the most "international" cities in the US. It is amazing how many Europeans live there. If marketing doesn't figure that out then they are as clueless as we all think they are. Are friend Ben Baldonza notwithstanding.

Off topic...Trouble is, the majority of residents of the United States live east of the Mississippi. Makes no sense to send people west to then send them east. PHL is the 5th biggest city in the country and in the middle of the most populous urban area in America (the Northeast Megalopolis).

If PHX sees any international service, it will likely be Pacific Rim.

I'm confused by the unions opposition to the hiring of furloughed US FA's. Would it have been essentially a "recall" of the furloughed US East FA's? If so, they would train on work for US West until combined. If recalled like this, shouldn't they receive their pay based on their years of service with US East and their contract? They should go to the bottom of the US West list until combined. They are receiving 1 for 2 duty rig for a non-fly assisgnment (working ground), thats one of the formulas for credit pay. Granted, it doesn't seem fair to the US West FA's, but isn't this fair to the US East furloughees? It is unfortunate that the company doesn't want to bring the pay rates for current AWA in line with current US East, that is where the real anger sets in. Parker is not at the head of these negotiations...who is sitting at the table for the company? Who is flatly rejecting these pay proposals?
