After the Strike

Hate to break it to you guys, but corporations are not formed to provide jobs for people. Their created in an effort to make a profit, and thus a return on equity for the shareholders, nothing more or less. If you want to work for a guaranteed pay and complete job security, then go work for the government.

Hate to break it to you, But we're not working to ensure that the corporate world is able to live in luxury while the workers are tossed into the cesspool . the common man works to provide, you know put food on the table...etc. That attitude of we are a better class than you is fading fast, but hey the french already had that lesson.

Perhaps your turn is coming soon!

Hey NH/BB's I guess this answers your question on the other thread as of to whether Dougie Stealin' is a DRONE.

The answer would be YES.

Drone:a person who lives on the labor of others; parasitic loafer.

I'm sure he'd just call himself a coporation. 😀 😛

but it is necessary to utilize people in order to make the profit, thus we have this lovely department called Human Resources which most corporations have (and the federal government)

Of course.

Human capital is a necessary expense in creating a product or providing a service at a profit. HR has a function of recruiting and retaining the most valuable (those that create the greatest return) employees.

let's see they got rid of their valuable mechanics, want to rid themselves of their valuable f/a's. Look out finman, I'm sure you won't be of much value to them soon also or do you already know you are one of those that do not create the greatest return?

GC, think about this...anyone like finman who can "spin the numbers" or "cook the books" to show the company in a favorable light is probably considered a valuable asset to the "new" Northwest! 😀

Thus for a corporation to profit, people are necessary. Without people there would be no corporation, no profit for shareholders, ect. Sorry but for a corporation to profit there needs to be people working together as a team towards a common goal.

At NW, they're failing miserably....Good (valuable) people leaving by the dozens daily, and not much "quality" coming in to replace them.

yeah, like shoving 4 um's on board without any paperwork and said "Just go!" and "we're late!" and "Just ask them for their names and put them in any open seat!"

So plane takes a delay due to outsourced idiots who don't know what they are doing.

 Now that's what I call cost effective

<_< ---- Sorry! That's a new one on me! "um's"??? 😉 "Unmanageables?"

C'MON, you ol' Geezer, "use your head"

"UM" = Unaccompanied Minors !!

Listen, you've been around since the Wright Brothers, and there is NO excuse for you NOT knowing that

I realize that your football season is LOST already, after only 1 game(KC Chiefs QB out indefinitly/Injury), but that's STILL no excuse !!

NH/BB's

hey finman, if you ever realize you need people to run a corporation it may be a little too late. Scrap Metal Air is the prime example of how they show they dont want quality. All you got to do is take a look at their SHODDY MAINTAINCE with UNQUALIFIED MECHANICS. Of course by the time you realize all of the reality Scrap Metal Air will become just that Scrap Metal in the recycling bin

If thats the case they are doing a lousy jobs since the company got rid of perfectly capable workers and replaced them with those they either would not have hired before or tried to fire. Lets face it the hourly wage paid to mechanics is dwarfed by the revenue lost due to incompetance and the inability to maintain a reliable product.
