AIR TRAFFIC CONTROL SYSTEM

DON''T LET THEM SELL OUR AIR TRAFFIC CONTROL SYSTEM

There is something you can do to make our skies safer.

Click here (WWW.TTD.ORG) today to tell your U.S. Senators to vote for the Lautenberg amendment to the upcoming FAA bill and put an end to the Bush Administrations dangerous idea of privatizing our air traffic control system.

President Bush is putting profits ahead of safety in wanting to sell off our air traffic control system. This has been a flop in every country its been tried. In England near-misses and delays have soared and the private company has needed a costly government bailout to keep going. In Canada, airline passengers have had to pick up the tab on cost over-runs, and controllers are struggling with staff reductions and long shifts that threaten safety.

What the White House wants for aviation is part of a larger anti-government strategy to force federal agencies to sell off 850,000 jobs to the lowest bidder. It assumes the worst of someone just because they draw a public sector paycheck. And in times like these, putting a For Sale sign on maintaining and operating our airspace is downright reckless.

But the Lautenberg amendment would stop this dead in its tracks. It would prevent the FAA from auctioning off the jobs of the men and women who work in our air traffic control system.

It''s going to be a close vote, and your voice could make the difference. Tell your Senators (www.ttd.org) today to stand up for safety and vote Yes on the Lautenberg amendment.
