Stack's beef with the IRS apparently went back 30 years, to the early 80s, when he seems to have been involved with a tax resistance movement that was percolating around the country, particularly in California. In the note he apparently wrote the day of the attack, Stack holds forth at length on his grievances with the IRS. (The note's authenticity has not been confirmed by authorities.)

I have not heard any of the news outlets tie this guy to anything but some rock band in Austin, The Milton Hershey School in PA, and his blog. Of course, I do not watch any of the liberal entertainment shows like Olberman, Maddow, or the rest. I also do not watch the mirrors of these like Hannity, Beck, O'Reilly, etc.

This guy was a nut case, plain and simple.

He really showed 'em by leaving behind a fatherless 12 year-old daughter and a now widowed wife.

I have no doubt that some networks are doing just as you say. Just the same as Fox News tries to tie anything democratic to some kind of extreme liberal group such as acorn.

They are no longer news outlets, they are sensationalist reality entertainment providers. I get a small minority of my current events from television (the major networks that is).

I watched little Katie for quite some time......recently I've gone to Bret Baier.....funny thing is I think they cover more things that need to be looked into than MSM. Say what you want about 'fair and balanced'....but they have a huge audience because they are asking questions that should be asked that aren't even looked at by MSM.
