Looks like DL is making some changes to deal with AirTran. BUF and ROC gone to express and most other cities seeing 737-800 (former shuttle aircraft) without first class seating. This is not true to the west coast, most of Florida (with the exception of Tallahassee), nor major northeast cities, but most others. Any thoughts? Seems like a move in the right direction for DL. Should bring costs down slightly in these markets.

Can''t think of a worst move for their frequent flyers. Delta has forgot the revenue side. First they screw the FF program, and now they want me to fly an RJ with no overhead space, less reliability, when I can fly a full size jet and upgrade to first for a fee less than Deltas ticket change fee. Sorry you lost me.

I don''t think switching to RJs is the answer, but I do believe shifting the shuttle aircraft to these markets is a good move. I often fly PVD - TLH. The flight between ATL and TLH is very short. No need for first class. The extra seats are a good idea. Plus leather throughout is also great.
