Thank You Airtran!

i think they prob are, there is only 1 767 that was put out of service because of engine fire, but i think all the original 767s are still around, they arent that old still, some airlines still run 707s, but our 767s are ok

A/C 654 US was the one destroyed by fire in PHL due to an engine malfunction and A/C 647US (767-200ER) was returned to the lessor in the first bankruptcy filing and is now flying around in Africa for a carrier based there.

I guess this thread has somehow evolved into a US thread

The first US 767 came into service with Piedmont back around 1986 or so for the CLT-LGW route. Are these original pre-merger 76's still flying for US?

Some are. The fleet list source I have (jp) lists five 767-201s as still active with US: N645/646/648/649/650US. All delivered to PI in 87/88.

The other five 767s are -2B7s, delivered after the merger (90-93).

even the ones after the merger were ER series, and also, there are 10 767-200ER with us airways, and the youngest just turned 10, while the oldest is 19-20

any way
