If you decertify a national union, you are barred from going to another national union for a period of time. ALPA won't even miss your dues. You're just 2700 pilots at the lowest payrate.

Not true, you can ask to change unions, happens all the time, there is no bar when there is a raid.

AMFA, raided the IAM at UA and NWA and won for the M&R group, no bar on representation.

The PFAA raided the IBT at NWA for the FAs and won, no bar.

The AFA raided the PFAA at NW for the FAs and won, no bar.

AMFA raided the IBT at WN for the M&R and won, no bar.

You can change unions without a bar taking place. The only time there is a one year bar is when no union wins with 50%+1.

And the IBT has refused to raid the TWU at AA for the M&R, good luck on getting them to raid at US.

The IBT does not represent the most workers in the Airlines.

They all ready refused to raid at AA against the TWU.

And with the track record of your pilots I doubt they would touch you.

And is anyone else gonna step up to be leaders?

You can change unions all you want, if you don't change leadership nothing will change, and you are stuck with the arbitration, changing unions will not change your CBA nor the arbitration.

Actually I'm sure IBT 747 would love to have the US group under them. The have quite a few minor airlines, though they do have republic and I believe netjets. (fairly large groups) They do operate on a slightly smaller budget than ALPA, and their resources are stretched a bit thing on the airline side, but US dues could prop that up quite a bit.

The AMFA did not raid the IAM or the Teamsters.

Bull.

They raided the IAM represented mechanics at UAL and NWA and won.

They raided the IBT represented mechanics at WN and won.

So if they did not raid how did the above groups change their unions?

Don't let the facts get in your way!

Since the AMFA does not waste there members money with professional organizers, the answer to your question is grass roots organizing.

I believe that applies AFL-CIO unions. Either way it is a moot point as the Teamsters have left that umbrella.

AMFA does have full time staff members who organized, just like every other union.

Still waiting for your answer Brokenwrench.

Still considered a raid.

AMFA has no paid organizers. AMFA has won certification elections for mechanics and related classifications at several airlines and currently represents them in contract negotiations, grievances, and other cooperative programs.

AMFA has won certification elections for mechanics and related classifications primarily through grassroots campaigns started and run by volunteer organizers from within the airline.
