All is quiet because AA is not going to offer anything that would remotely pass a vote much less even appease the negotiating team. The company is in the old Dean Smith Carolina 4 corners mode. STALL!!! The only hope is that the NMB's order to go back to negotiating while they think about a release is a message to AA to get serious about getting a deal done and not just a courtesy reach-around to the TWUand AFL-CIO. I fear that it is the latter. 🙁

Us TWU represented clerks have been there, done that, as you well know. What makes you think they are going to negotiate in good faith with anyone. Their game seems to be working extremely well as is, why would they change it just because the NMB has spoken, AGAIN!

The inferior labor agreement is already a done deal.
What they are negotiating is the best method for the two parties to sell the inferior pacakge to get a ratification.
Soon you will see the agreement along with a campaign that if you dont accept it the 30 day cooling off period and a strike will take place.
You will be working under the new agreement by mid-June

I think you credit the union posters here with far too much optimism! But not to worry; if it goes wrong they can just blame Arpey or executive compensation, as always.

What's the deal with the buyout is its still at 20K?

It was at $25K, but knowing the deft negotiating skills of the TWU it's probably turned into the exiting party paying AA $20K...
I think it's a fleet thing.
