Why do the Delta agents have to wake up? Doug stated that the highest payscale of each work group will be the pay scale for that work group. Even the 19% pay cut the ground workers took at delta i think they are still getting paid better than both the us airways east employees and the us airways west employees.Doug America West and now USAirways CEO pay non-union America West agents a top out pay of $13.10hr until the union of CWA representing the USAirways agents brought the agents in under USAirways agents contract now the top out is $18.00 hr
Once you are an employee at will and the deal is done all that could change like US has seen over and over again. This scares the hell out of me with these revolving door upper management. Here is what the agents contract is for increases in the futureWhy do the Delta agents have to wake up? There is a 20 month transition period that has all ready began and April 2006 to bring the America West agents at top of scale with a $5.00 a hour increase. Meanwhile IAM and gang is being stall by America West upper management with their agreement. The inside agent would be going thru the same making between $6.00 -$13.00 dollars an hour wile management stalls if a IBT/CWA transition agreement was not reachDelta employees need to watch out for that BS alliance between the Teamsters and the CWA that feeds dues money into the coffers of both unions while allowing one group to make far far less than the other.
I worked with a lot of people who collected assistance at WN as ramp agents back in the mid ninties.I have some friends who worked for Doug in PHX that were eligible for food stamps.
