Excellent. The Company reads this and will just keep on chipping chipping chipping away at you till you break.

Great response from Kyle here. “Fair enough”

Psst, hey Weez. I hate to break it to you but its no secret we are unhappy with our representation. The company knows full well. Young Kyle obviously does not understand the law in respect to "job actions". He is also very naive on our ability to change unions.

No you harp on it. You in turn undermine yourselves.

“Cut off your nose to spite your face”
So we do what then? Ignore it? Let bygones be bygones? Just forget about the way the democratic process was given the finger?

Whoever he is or wherever he comes from I give him zero credibility. He’s another blogger like that Adam Levine Weinberg from Motley Fool that I can’t stand.

No don’t forget it. Concentrate on what’s supposed to be the important thing which is gaining a JCBA.

After that’s done you’ll have 5 years to put all the focus you want on trying to change or change out the Association.

I just prefer to organize what’s most important on my plate and tackle that first one thing at a time.

Gary doesn’t speak for me

Under a Union structure as your representative yes he does. Even the Company has made that quite clear when they say “Talk to your representatives”

When you vote you will have one vote only. If the Membership disagrees with your choice, that majority spoke for you all.

He used to speak for us until he was appointed an international position. No chance to vote on appointees mean no respect or recognition from me. The same goes for the ASSociation I had no say in.

Rebuttals are crap....I'm tired of videos and podcast bullcrap. Just put together a proposal in full text and let the membership decide. Just like they did with the company proposal.
What are you afraid of to let members vote?
M&M Just bring up how good and well AMFA was able to bring the first offer out for a vote. AMFA "trusted" their members to do the right thing. Let them decide for themselves AFTER they get all the information.
I have to agree with drivers predictions. You guys may get a vote at approx 5.5 years like we did. If voted down you guys will go another year before second offer is put out. You guys MIGHT even go longer than us. It all depends on how the asso will handle it all. Good luck on a vote...

Great article. Right on point. All so very true.

You can make a motion from the floor (I have) for a Constitutional amendment to change the rules for appointees to allow for all members to have a vote.

In the meantime though until you do that and the hard part get it to pass, yes he does speak for you through his appointment.

I don’t listen to the blowhard. And I wouldn’t waste my time trying to get anything passed with this worthless union. Worthless unless you work the buses and trains in NYC

Well you passively accept that he does speak for you then even if the fact that he accepted an International appointment pisses you off.

Is it simply for you that if “anyone” accepts an International appointment they become your enemy?

You do realize that even the POTUS appoints people to his cabinet. Lots and lots of people as a matter of fact.

He’s not my enemy. Just a blowhard. Oh at least I have a chance to vote for a POTUS. Did you have a chance to vote on your hero Samuelsen’s position?

Oh, BTW. I could not care any less than I do about who gets appointed international positions. I dislike the tough talking blowhards who want mechanics to fight the company.
Maybe he and Schaible should leave their offices, put their uniforms back on, hit the floor and show the rest of us how to fight!
