Yes, it is a stain on the modern labor movement. The greed of the afl-cio, TWU international and iam blinded them. A serious miscalculation that has played completely into managements hands. We ARE divided and have been served up on a silver platter by our own. Trying to put forth a unified workforce is challenging in the best of circumstances. The only unity I can see is the AMT folks are unified in our displeasure of being forced into this association.

Based on that proposal i can tell u dca is a resounding no vote solely based on scope med n other issues.

there needs to be a vote Robbed. Let's see how many people support Baskett's opinion that the proposal sucks. It would give the Association credibility with its members and with management if their membership actually listened to them. The company is convinced that the employees will vote yes, at least for fleet.

The next 30 days will be telling. If the Trump NMB rules for ice, then there will most likely be carnage as the company will want to soften us up with pink slips. Take work away from CLT, etc. And the proposal will be less. You guys have no idea what you are doing but it will be a big raid on this Association if you knuckleheads (Not you Robbed, but Weez and Mr Baskett) start destroying our jobs and lessening what is offered. AMP will definitely move forward, and the ALM may not be far behind if you guys cost us jobs. Sad.

Tim. When u say 30 days for them to report or is it for the negotiations to report back to their headquarters? What dose AMP and ALM stand for? I do agree we all should at least vote but i do believe it would fail. May be fail very hugely. But question is would mgmt actually improve the offer? The 2014 deal for LUS was a vast improvement over previous agreements but definitely always use improvement

But you don't trust the membership to vote the way you want?

After the Company released their proposals I will admit I have a lot more trust in them than I did before.

And so will I. Just remember those who vote yes have the same rights as those vote no. We all pay the same dues.

I would be disappointed if they went against the recommendations of the elected leaders but if you’ve been reading me the last few years I always respect the decision of the Membership.

Don't you realize by the company releasing their proposals and supposals, members finally saw what they could not with a town hall? They saw how crappy it is.
And btw....Patience is an understatement. We could go for the SWA record of negotiations.

Metal I honestly don’t know exactly what they’re planning to release. But I’m going to be patient and let them put it together and release it before I judge it.

Personally I like videos better than Podcasts and Twitter. But that’s what I like.

And I’m glad they saw how crappy it is in advance. Eventually we may have to cast a vote to let the Company know how crappy it is?

I have a warped mind. And I just got back from 4 days up in the Mountains of New Jersey breathing that cold fresh Mountain air so the mind is even more energized than usual.

What I say we should do as TWU AMTs is,

Boycott AMT day as

IAM AMTs
TWU FSC
TWU facilities maint
TWU GSE mechs
Pretty much everybody in our union except TWU AMTs enjoy AMT day,

We should show AA how unified we are as a union. I do like the irony of the same mechs saying to our stores guys enjoy the company food, as those same mechs bypass the contract and other union brothers and ask the supervisor if there is any job continuance OT they can have.
