Weez I see a division the morning shift got Ass t shirts the night havent also whats with the crew chief wings they hand them out to children. They do realize most of us are over 40

Are you saying you would rather work a non-union job and receive non-union wages? I find that hard to believe but it sounds like what you are saying?

I like more money just as much as the next person, but to my point-- far more people in the middle class are NOT union. Yes, I am making more money by being in a union at AA, but if it was America West (and its lagging profits) my income would be marginally improved for the simple reason their to be little in the way of profits to be had regardless of union status. Far more important that a company being highly profitable than one being in a union in terms of wages.

I like to focus more on the language that protects my wages even more than the particular Union itself.

And of course you want the Company you work for to be highly profitable but McDonalds is highly profitable too ya know. And both jobs only require a High School Diploma.

Won't be this time.
it will be close as always in florida. Many from sju relocated to miami and that could swing the State. However i read another article where more red retirees are taking up residence in tampa. who knows. Union membership is up with trump and he is saving a monster job exploder with his infrastructure bill to be released in early 19. With a big jobs expansion and record low unemployment and wage increases, he will be tough to beat. If he didt tweet so much bs he would be a lock imo. But florida is a clear swing.

lets see who wears them when our health care gets sacrificed.

And Big Labor almost blew that one.

Sorry Gulfy me thinks your last Democratic polls were off a bit, just ask Hillary

She couldn't come to the phone, but according to the official vote count, she got about 2 million more votes nationwide. Not enough to win the election but enough for trump to keep lying about the total. Sounds like small appendage disorder to me, or maybe Hillary is just bigger after all. Frankly, that would not surprise me.

Yes hypocrite is perfect for you screaming about the price of your healthcare while supporting a candidate who wants to open the borders for 7 billion of the earth occupants and give them free healthcare

Go find one post of me complaining about the cost of my healthcare and don't come back until you find one. Basically that means bye Felicia.

I realize if you support trumpalufagus, facts mean little to you, but alternative facts-as there are no such things-mean nothing to me. I find my healthcare to be affordable and I am satisfied with it. Maybe you are thinking about one of your IAM brothers, oops, I mean co-laborers.

I am far from perfect, but when it comes to my job and organized labor, I support unions at work and when I vote. One thing I do not do, is enjoy the good quality of life my union has provided for me and then come on here crying like a...............................about how bad unions are. BF.

Don't make it harder on yourself than it has to be. Go ahead and start voting republican and stop torturing yourself. You appear to be looking for a reason to do so. There are probably better things you can do with your time that might not negatively impact the union careers of those with less time than you.

the way it looks, maybe i'll save the republican vote for retirement, thank you. as far as the rest, i'm sure there were some true-blue democratic party fscs who voted for kennedy and johnson, and then voted for 'b' scale that had a negative impact on people like me, with much less time than they did - those of us with no time, prior to getting hired. that happened indirectly and i don't blame them individually. i'm not quite sure how i could possibly negatively impact any fsc with less time than me.

i've been paying union dues for over 3 decades. i have no problem paying them. i also contributed to COPE. despite the meager amounts, eventually, one would want a return on their 'investment'. in those 3 decades, i gave credit to the democratic party for one thing: pushing back on a corporation that wanted to terminate my pension.

i still don't know if i owe that to the dem. party or the head of the pbgc in late 2011-2012. maybe all my COPE should have went to him - i'd have no problem with that.

my thoughts and posts are what my perceptions are of today's democratic party. just like the republicans, they've made clear to me, who'll they'll 'really' fight for.

And Big Labor almost blew that one.
Big Labor was spending its money on that Global Warming Bull Chit and how Florida will be under water in 50 years. I suggest that Big Labor get the hell out of the science business and some of the ridiculous social issues that have nothing to do with working people. The IAM was wrapped up in some dopey pro abortion issues back in the late 90s or early 2000s. Knock it off and spend all of our dues fighting for workers comp, FMLA, collective bargaining, etc. Take the damn colors out of things and focus on worker rights.

Looks like a "offer" is coming within the next 60 days to be voted upon. Apparently, some greater clarifications this week, according to Fly. I believe both offers will suck balls but pass. The Fleet offer is essentially the same one we already discussed and posted in August of last year. Don't know the MX offer. I would have preferred that American Management get us out of the IAM Pension plan but it doesn't look like that was the case although I'm hopeful of at least a choice. Yeah, that goes against what the company videos say but I'm just repeating what I heard (consider it hearsay and second hand). Current LUS medical is not included in the 'offer'. Just telling the LUS boys what is contained in the offer. While Mr Baskett and others will tell you that they didn't agree to this, they are knifing you in the back once this comes out, because the only way to preserve your LUS healthcare was to have Sito keep this from being voted upon, otherwise it will pass.

It is what it is. Frustrating to keep the IAM pension? Yes, but it is what it is. I won't get as pounded as much as my LUS brothers and sisters since I just have individual coverage. One thing I don't understand is why American doesn't have different coverages, i.e., individual and spouse, or individual and children, why does a LUS person have to pay for "Family" even if their coverage is just for individual and child? Crazy. But we are hosed thanks to Sito.

And, FWIW, any LUS ramper out there, don't complain to me. I told you so. If you don't like the fact that Sito pledged to allow the company to negotiate directly with you by presenting the offer directly to you and sidestepping the negotiation committee then talk to your AGC. Don't talk to me about it, k?

All according to Fly, so consider it all hearsay and secondhand.

well, if true, i hope the compensation was sweetened a bit and the company backed off lavs & water. i got different replies to PT ratio..so, that issue is over my head.

as a LAA employee, if all the above is true...bring it on.
