Also, when AA does put out an update, at least it has some substance, maybe substance we don't care for, but substance nonetheless. Association update, Executive ones at that, MEH!

That’s because the Company has all the available tools and advantages and can actually show they’re offering something.

The Association of they wanted too could only say what they’re asking for.

Kind of gives the Company a leg up there.

Why would you want them to violate your free speech rights by scheduling more negotiations?
That's a first displaying some wit or sarcasm to me the same.I thought you were a Vulcan but you are right I will PM you my payroll number please have them stop deducting my dues.Guess it's one way to offset my medical

I see AA has posted a plea to the IAM about their medical on Jetnet.

Kinda qualifies my leverage statement as legit...🙂

Tim the fact they didn't schedule any negotiation dates, what does that say to you

Briefing for 6-29-30

NEGOTIATIONS: We have been told that there will be no official communications coming out this week about negotiations from the executive team. So I will tell everyone what we have been told.
This past week consisted mostly of discussing scope issues. There was much discussion on these issues. The executive team reaffirmed our proposal on scope to the company. Which is basically a snapshot of our current 40 cities. The snapshot meaning that we are trying to protect all work currently being performed today in these 40 stations as a starting point.

Then there is another part of our scope proposal that would open up cities that we were once in. It is my understanding some conversations were had on this part of our proposal also, and that the company requested information on what cities and what work would be done in these cities. These cities and scope work could be different than the first 40 above.

It is now expected that the company will review this information and get back to the executive team with their counter proposal or response sometime next week. After the executive team reviews this counter or response from the company, there will then be discussions about future dates. At this time, there are no future dates scheduled.
Just to clarify, it is my understanding there are no meetings next week. The executive team will be waiting the company's response from this past week and when and if it comes, then future dates will be determined.
This is all I know at this time. I will keep everyone informed when I get more info.

“””””CLT BENEFITS SHOWING: Sorry I haven't been able to put out anything until just now on this issue. We have had several people ask us how last Wednesday went, with the AA people here to explain to fleet service the AA insurance. I am very happy to say that not one fleet service agent went to the meetings. The company even went over to our catering break room to hold a meeting inside the break room and everyone stood up and walked out until the company officials left. So great job catering!!

Can you believe this company? Here is a group of employees ( catering ) that the company announces they want to take their jobs from them and give it to a company that is dedicated in doing catering, (as if our people aren't as dedicated and as professional as the contract company ) and yet, they still want to come over to the catering break room and tell them about the AA insurance, because they say they care and want to make sure all your questions are answered. And they really thought our members were going to want to listen?? Believe me, we made sure they knew what everyone thought of that gesture.

And really a great job of solidarity by everyone in clt. In my opinion, we could not have sent a stronger message. Just so everyone is aware, both of clt AGC,s, and the grievance committee all set down and had some very interesting and detailed discussions with the company officials on why they were here. I say interesting and detailed, because that's about as professional as I can put it. Believe me, the message was sent loud and clear that nobody in the fleet service dept is interested in the least in the AA insurance.

I also just heard today that the company was just in phx this week, and our phx brothers and sisters gave them the same welcome. Not one fleet service agent showed up. So great job phx.
So on behalf of the negotiating team, I want to thank all of you for the showing of solidarity. Not only showing the company that we aren't interested in the AA insurance, but also showing the company that the negotiating team is the voice of the membership. They had hoped to find out that this wasn't the case with this visit. But thanks to each one of you, they found out differently.”””””””””

I also know there are many people from smaller stations that read this briefing, and I'm sure they say thanks to all of you for being there for them also. Like I said before, they don't get a chance to send the message to the company like the larger hubs do. So it is important to remember, we are there for them as well. Again, GREAT JOB AND THANKS TO ALL!!

I will be on vacation next week, so no briefing will be sent out unless something big happens with negotiations. If it does, I will let you know.

EVERYONE HAVE A SAFE AND HAPPY 4TH
MARK BASKETT

Well, again, AA just posted a video on Jetnet and hundreds will watch it. They then have the opportunity to let their feelings known. (which I have no doubt they will). Not attending AA's roadshow did nothing. In reality, it was the IAM members opportunity to voice their displeasure and really lay into the AA officials. But I guess that half of the Association disagree's.

Tim why are the negotiators concentrating on MTC when they could shut down fleet cities in a couple of months. No priority?

From what I understand this was how they decided amongst themselves to handle the sales pitch.

Hey when Jehovas Witness comes to my door I just close it in their faces with a snarky look first.

Seems to me they don't want confrontation. No picketing, no attending meetings to voice their displeasure...Just a TWU members opinion.

The evidence does support your conclusion to be quite honest.
