Are you guys saying LUS healthcare or the highway or would you be open to meet in the middle. After looking at Weez's plan it would seem the company could do better for its employees especially the way they spend money on other stupid things
You are welcome to pm me anytime for my cell and we can talk. But since I really don’t know who you are, I’m not going to negotiate on a public forum. But again, feel free to contact me for my cell if you want.

I meant how the company put a positive spin on the health plan. They must think we are idiots

You have to love how they mention pre wage increases to try and justify that going over to the LAA costs is not so bad.

News Flash AA: You already gave them the wages and they’ve been living with them now for a year and eight months. They abandoned the notion of those wages being any part of a JCBA a long time ago now.

Freakin clueless bean counters.

Got it,it wouldn't be appropriate for you to answer especially as a negotiator

I had a Kidney transplant 8 years ago. As the subject of healthcare pops up. short story: The medicine to keep my new kidney and other issues, rotted my teeth. dental max is $1500 and the Insurance would not allow for a medical issue to cover a dental. so with rotten teeth, I had to raid my 401k, (age why I am 58) I wanted full implants so it has taken $60000 to have teeth again. Medical is a benefit that we all cherish but the most expensive. You might get that cost of living increase but it can be used up quickly
Buck glad you're ok now if I went through all that you did Iwould have got ran over by a Mack Truck leaving the dentist office on my last appointment. You had to hit the 401 for your teeth did you have to take out a second mortgage for your kidney operation how is your plan with something as serious.

Tim why are the negotiators concentrating on MTC when they could shut down fleet cities in a couple of months. No priority?
Because fleet has been done for all of about 9 months now, other than some ball busting. Just go back and see what I posted last August and nothing has changed other than catering getting whacked and a ballot count presumably around the middle of next May that has plugged up a TA.

That's the only thing holding things up. But by all accounts, our current LUS health is gone no matter how many pickets, boycotts, chest pounding, foot stomping....it's all BS as Sito knows. I hate to admit this but NYer was 'spot on' a couple years ago, and unlike some, he isn't issuing 'false promises'.

BTW, I loved the boycotts, just don't mean as much to Sito.

Of course, Sito kicked out the negotiating committee and has gone solo with Alex, which allows them to tell them whatever narrative he wants to the x'd out negotiating committee. There is a reason why management is loading up AA medical on Jetnet. Nuff said. All of the above is according to my understanding of Fly's comments

Your SWA Insurance is not very good driver honestly. Your pay and benefits are good but the Medical is where they get back at you. (And Delta)
That's the best plan we have now. It used to be great when we made $30 an hour. The company will save money somewhere.

What the membership decided was best in clt was to boycott the meetings 100%, except for the union officers that were there with 2 of us being on the negotiating committee. We were the ones that went to each meeting throughout the day to deliver the message that nobody would be coming.

In our opinion the company was looking for numbers to attend. Even if the ones that showed would have been confrontational, the company would have been able to say they had hundreds that attended the meetings. We didn’t want that. We thought a stronger message was sent by them seeing people walk out of the break rooms when they came in, and only the union officers remained.
I agree it’s debatable in what was the best approach, but we went with what we thought was best.
It's good to hear from someone with some real CREDIBILITY... thanks CB...

And Medical Deductibles and Prescription Drug copays are the Shell Game.

Piedmont Im sure he is creditable problem is hes not at the table. If you read the last few lines of AMTs update you will see the actual negotiators are somewhat distancing themselves from the executive committee. Is there a potential for a civil war or coup? Stay tuned.

Civil war? Not a chance. Our negotiators have never been close to negotiations, they just bend over and stay in line. Sito was signing their names on updates they weren't aware of FOR YEARS. And with TWU pollyannas like Murphy in there, the same was true for TWU until ORD gave him the boot. I personally think that NYer changed this as he, and a couple other new TWU Prez' (along with Danker I would say) weren't going to roll over like Weez' LUS fake negotiators. NYer put out a letter saying that the negotiation committee wasn't even aware of the updates and didn't sign the update. Baskett would never do that. So who is credible? NYer. At least with NYer you are going to get the truth and he isn't going to tell his peeps that he is in actual negotiations.

At any rate, although I appreciated Mr Baskett's update, it was certainly third hand. A lot of "I think" "I guess" and "I dunno's" since he wasn't anywhere close to negotiations. Don't get me wrong, Mr Baskett sure packs on the BS nowadays but I'm not sure what on earth he goes by. I go by the Association constitution. Mr Baskett is lying to his own clt peeps telling them that Sito eventually has to come to him and the entire negotiation committee. SITO DOES NOT! Yet Mr Baskett continues to lie out of his butt to his people and I guess nobody can stop him. At least Prez doesn't lie about the things.

Watch for a proposal to be sent to the membership, circumventing the negotiations committee, for a vote. And if this happens, it will happen in the next 60 days, prior to section 6. The company will be allowed to directly negotiate with us as Sito may step aside and claim that he is putting this in the workers hands, KNOWING FULL WELL OUR LUS WILL BE GONE with the vote. Watch.

Actually, for Kidney once diagnosed you go on Medicare as primary and company insurance secondary for 33 months and once a kidney matches and transplant is complete the 33 month window renew's itself. The medical was practically free. Missing work, having no income was a problem that still haunts me today. I had to live so I burned up any savings I had. I am ok, but medicines have had their day. One of the retention meds was Prednisone Steroids. This ate away at my tissue in my shoulders and hips so I had to have full replacements. As for my teeth, I could have gone to my tribal dental but that would have only been false teeth and the VA is only treating combat dental restoration, so I chose to go all out. Now if we could just get to the contractual ratification and 401k matching of at least 9% I can recover my losses.

The Executive Negotiating Committee met with American Airlines on June 25, 26, & 27 in Washington, DC. The vast majority of these negotiating sessions were spent discussing Scope in a very detailed manner, mainly for the Maintenance and Related group. While Fleet Service Scope was discussed, it was done on a much broader level since the Company was unprepared and not fully represented. The Association made it clear that the Company must consider Scope language that is more aligned with the Association’s proposals.

We discussed scheduling more dates, but none were committed to. The objective remains to achieve the best contracts in the industry for our members and the company is keenly aware, after this week’s negotiating session, on how to move in the right direction to achieve the Agreement the Association demands for our members. We understand the membership’s frustration with the time it is taking to reach this JCBA, but we will not negotiate a concessionary agreement just to complete the process.

Over this July 4th week, all Association members are to remain unified and recognize that we are fighting for the CBA you have earned and deserve.

Fraternally,
Your Association Executive Negotiating Committee
thanks for the update. Can you tell us exactly who is on the Executive Negotiating Committee or does Alex/Sito want that to say a secret?

I mean, when we see that they stopped putting names on the updates about 6 months ago, and additionally stopped saying 'negotiation committee', it leaves me to wonder who exactly addressed this, I.e., who is on the executive negotiation team?? I know the negotiating committee and the Executive team, but who is on our fleet Executive Negotiating Committee?

Also, I noticed that Baskett thanked the CLT workers in his personal update, on behalf of the negotiating team (insert entire negotiation team here), for showing the company that we aen't interested in LAA insurance. Good to have the TWU negotiations team members in full support of this display of not wanting LAA health insurance, but it's the first time I have seen this written down.

Is CB going to share with us exactly who the hell is the Negotiations Executive Team? The first 3 years, the updates had 12 names as signatures. The last 6 months, the updates fraudulently had The Negotiations Committee as signature and we knew who they were and the powers they had under the AssCon.
But who sits on the entity that signs the updates now, ie., The Executive Negotiation Committee?

As a LUS, im uncomfortable with that since it most likely circumvents the negotiation committee.

Credibility-- is when the Membership and N/C are in lock-step, as was just demonstrated in the CLT and PHX stations. Credibility-- is when an officer, or a member of the N/C comes on here (in a public forum no less), and offers his personal attention to your concerns. Credibility-- is when that same officer does not spin, distort, and otherwise attempt to forward a personal agenda, and/or narrative. Especially, when he places himself at great risk of being chastised, ridiculed, and reported to the DOL by Tim Nelson.

On the other hand-- the complete lack of credibility is apparent when one attempts to divide the membership, attempts to instill fear in the membership, and attempts to convince the membership to follow them, as opposed to the actual elected leaders.

You have spent an incredible amount of time in these forums (approximatly 6.5 post per day)...
Virtually ALL of those posts have been biased toward acknowledgment, and support for Tim Nelson, along with his narrative. Clearly, the membership as a whole is not interested, so why do you keep it up? What's in this for you? Why do you devote hours per day in here attempting to convince everyone to acknowledge Nelson as their leader?
