CB, if we are offered 40% into a 401k we would take that right over a pension wouldn’t we? Lol
I would say that if the company really wants us out of the pension, then they need to make a offer like they really want us out. If they can afford to give a captain making 250 k per year a auto 16% contribution, Then they can afford to give someone making 68k a 16% contribution. Don’t you agree?

“I agree with the definition except the word upset. Other than that it’s pretty much spot on. But upset? Who gets upset? Most people that I know, use rhenpost for entertainment purposes only.”

Do you remember what this Forums Page was like years ago? It’s a far cry from those long ago days. It’s a shame.

If you guys are bored, head over to the Negotiations thread, they are playing Bingo over there. Already have a couple of winners. If your name is Troll though, sorry, you can't play. By the way, any talk about meetings and such is only rumor unless it's on official Association letter head and signed by the anonymous Executive Negotiations Committee.”

Read the definition again and tell me if this comment of yours doesn’t fit?

Have a very nice evening Sir.
Not sure what most of your posts is referring to sir. But if we come to your station and you choose not to show up because it wasn’t briefed by the association? Ok then. I’m being as open as I can. And as soon as I get the cities and dates set, I’ll post them using all resources I have. Hope to meet you at one of them.

Not from the negotiations standpoint. However I have just today set up with our twu counterpart to do some joint station visits around the system to inform and answer members questions. I don’t as of today have a list of the cities or dates, but I will get that out ASAP. I am speaking for rhe Fleet service group. I will be working on the cities and dates this coming week.
Nice idea but it seems things change real quick what you say today might not apply tommorrow. It seems to me you can fill in the local reps cause they don't know squat

In remember. But doesn’t bother me now though. Many people read these pages but don’t choose to post. It’s mainly those people that I post on here for.

Things do change real quick. That’s negotiations. Especially with this management team. So you think we shouldnt do the visits?

I’m not really concerned about convincing them, that can’t be done. I just want to make sure people get some true info, Instead of info thats deliberately put out just to stir people up. Put out by posters that have stated that they could care less about their credibility. But yet, think people are ignorant enough to believe what is posted by them.
Now that was funny coming from a guy with 4 different retirement plans and doesn't say a peep about the IAM pension projected in critical status, much less it's broadened suspensions.

At any rate, while it's true that some employees may not exercise the fullness of their match, many employees get $0 from their IAM pension (In fact a great deal if you are honest) even though the company contributes for them. Not until after 5 years is a participant vested. That means for the boatloads who quit before the beginning of their 6th year (over 65%) they get ZERO from the IAM Pension. And the IAM Pension racks up all of the money from the company. Unless such a person just so happens to get hired by another IAM pension participant.

So, yea, some don't utilize the fullness of a match, but in most cases the company is just paying the IAM which is bagging the money for itself when employees don't start their 6th year. You have an agenda Charlie Brown. I have one as well. My agenda is to tell the part that you don't and to make sure that you guys get the full consent of the membership prior to any section 6 filing.

At any rate, United Airlines has a say and they don't want increases risk with the critically projected pension.

Also, you and Peterson's plan to attack this company got a D-. Although the "attack the company" comment and "Gloves off" actions ended up being real flunkies (Why am I not surprised?) I didn't flunk the poor fella because his video was at least entertaining.

I wonder if CB believes in the Flying Spaghetti Monster tales that Peterson channeled?

Maybe Charlie Brown can tell us if Isom was fired yet for trying to oust Parker?

I was once told by a prominent poster here (he is still one of the few here) that all is rumor unless it is directly from the source and written as such (on Association etc.. letter). Also, the Association letters are signed just as I stated, Executive Negotiations Committee. CB, does that clarify it somewhat for you, sir.

Might be easier to call the local reps, they really don't have a clue. But if you like staying at hotels more power to you.I also don't take that as a good sign you are traveling when there should be negotiations

Read the post again sir. The question was is the cost to the company the same in the pension VS 401k. I answered the question, and you proved my point. You do admit the company has to put into the pension for every employee regardless. Correct? Which would make it much more expensive than the average 40% that puts into a 401k. And I do have an agenda sir. Your are correct ( for once) you are just wrong ( as usual ) on what that agenda is.

Glad to know at least some of those people are still out there. Once in awhile I get someone walk by and chuckle over a particular Soap Opera episode. At least I’m glad they’re being entertained in the interim between the moments of actual truth and reality.

The only person I have ever heard mention a Flying Spaghetti Monster until I just post this is you. If you think that’s funny? Go ahead and have your laugh, I could care less. I have always said, if a person keeps bringing a issue up, then they must believe in what they are saying. You should give your monster a name as much as you talk about him. He at least deserves that.

Wait a minute won't everyone get say 4% as a base leaving the company hoping that not many will do the match which is foolish beyond belief
