I was once told by a prominent poster here (he is still one of the few here) that all is rumor unless it is directly from the source and written as such (on Association etc.. letter). Also, the Association letters are signed just as I stated, Executive Negotiations Committee. CB, does that clarify it somewhat for you, sir.
No it does not clarify sir. So let me ask you this question? If I post on here that we are coming to your station and give you the time and date, and I will even Pm you personally to make sure you know, are you stating since you didn’t read it from an association briefing that you won’t be there???

Wait a minute won't everyone get say 4% as a base leaving the company hoping that not many will do the match which is foolish beyond belief

Al I don’t know why you find it unfathomable that there will be and are lots of people out there putting nothing at all into their 401k’s.

I’ve even put up tons of articles on the subject both here and on Facebook.

Weez the company doesn't put in base percentage regardless

You call it foolish? Of course you do at your age. So do I. But I remember when I was 22 with 2 kids making 8.00 bucks a hour struggling to get money for diapers. You think I worried then about retirement? The company knows there are hundreds of those individuals out there. You and I today can call it foolish. Some call it getting by till the next paycheck.

No one is answering my question is there a company base????

CB, I'm not the one who made the rule that it's unofficial or rumor unless posted on Union or Association material.
I actually said something about our equity and was quickly slapped with that comment. So the comment you read from my post was only a repeat of what was told to me. to answer your question, yes sir, tell me when.

On the latest proposal from the company which was on jet net, they told you they were offering a 5.5 company base with a 4% match and no pension. Do you think that’s good enough?

I know why you made that post. And I know what was said. I can’t control what all is said. My goal is, is to make sure the people that are frustrated which I’m pretty sure your one of them, ( sorry if I’m wrong ) as well as the people that aren’t, are getting the correct info. If we come to your station and answer your questions and you choose not to believe the info? Then ok. But at least you say you’ll be there. I can respect that. I can’t respect people choosing to not show up, but still cry about no info.

5.5% of 65k opposed to how much they put in per hour ×40×52 .What is the hourly figure going into the pension? My point the cost difference to AA

Plus I'm going to.make 80k this year thats over 4k base

That is the current amount they put into our pension, is the 5.5 % of our hourly rate which is 1.55. So all they are currently offering is the same 5.5 base and a match that they know only 40% max will achieve. Now keep in mind 1.55 per hour for a new hire is much more than a 5.5%. For the company to say they will give a new hire a 5.5% auto contribution, it is much less than the current 1.55 they are getting in the pension. That 1.55 is 5% of a tos agent. The 1.55 a hour for everyone else is higher than 5.5%. How much more depends on your year on the pay scale.

How does the IAM Pension Fund help with your taxes?

I don’t disagree with you if your topped out and someone that works some overtime that a 401k on everything earned is better. But the company needs to get it up there a good bit more than what they are currently offering. Am I to assume by your post that you are good with just the 5.5%?
