Even if it’s a legitimate accident? What if it’s due to defective equipment?

I watched this clerk driving in front of my gate with a cart, only to have the cart un hitch and run into the left engine to a live flight waiting to taxi. And I saw the hitch that he forgot to close and latch. He was clearly negligent.

he doesn’t have any. He has an opinion just like you and I the difference is he has a clear agenda.
Yet some here get on his jock like he’s some yoda.
yes, i do have an agenda. Doesnt everyone who is engaged?
At any rate, you dont have to tell me you arent voting for me. I want you and those like you to vote for Sito. If I lose im fine with that but the last thing i want is an "unclean" vote. Im hopeful enuf clean and smart members want to save their union.

i agree about the productivity but then again our catering, deicing, and mechanic work is productive but management wants it.
I have zero hope in management and although i wish the best for ya, i think Delta is just putting pressure on Parker. After we sign our contract, i think delta starts painful cuts.
Now that's the first intelligent thing you have posted yet, I strongly believe all the CEO do have some sort of line of communication, who was it that left LAA only to go to our competitor. I think that wages are raised artificially by others to put pressure on LAA to keep up with them, then setting them selves up to shed debit in another round of BK, better known as hitting the reboot button.

I don't think you have to worry about getting any votes, let a lone any of those filthy ones.

Just saying.

He has as much a chance of getting votes from forum people as you do getting a strippers real phone number

That’s not an accident, though.

Same scenario, but the hitch broke. Now what?

They actually used to meet every year at a ranch. In the book “Hard Landing,” they talk about it.

Collusion

That has to change.

I agree.
Congrats to the Delta guys on their pay 3% pay raises and 15% increases on shift diff's.
Kev, where will that put a topped out mechanic at? Somewhere close to $52??

$44.92 base.

Add in licenses, shift differential, etc. and it could get close to that.

It comes up every now and again, but almost always goes away just as fast.
if i were non represented, that would be my desire. The best ramp union, ever, was the in house ramp union that southwest voted in after tossing out the iam. It set the standards and ROPA dues were $20.
Merging with the TWU was a Mistake.
Most unions in this country are radical in house independents. None of this aflcio bs with outsiders cutting deals and fat salaries.

Not surprisingly AA pilots in house has the best pilot agreement, and our stews arent far behind.

oh the forum people on here are mostly pollyannas and dumb. They would gladly give up their family retirement and health care by believing convenient lies. Real stupid but you cant fix stupid.

we actually had the majority per capita last january before we postponed it to slap the iam again. We just completed a survey last week and have been building even more support so by our figures we are over 65% per capita which is only 10% less than our goal.

Ok Mr ego smart guy,
By some miracle you’re in there instead of Sito, AA looks at you and says fk you Nelson no way in hell are you ever going get LUS healthcare and 7% percent 401 match is as good as it gets.those are dealbreakers for us.so what’s the plan then bigtime? You got all the criticism where’s your solution let’s hear it.otherwise you’re all hat and no cattle.

No. We wouldn't. It is the members that vote for their CBA. It is easy to blame everyone else around but the bottom line is that we vote it in. If we and the majority don't vote for something, then it doesn't pass. If the majority doesn't like the contents then they can vote against it and the mechanics did in 2012, but they left themselves open to the abrogation of their CBA.

In the end, all unions in the AMR BK had to cut 17% of their deal, including the APA. No one got a better deal than anyone else and the cuts came down to numbers and choices of where that value came from. It isn't the Fleet group that forced anyone to do anything. That may have been true in the past when the groups voted together, but now the mechanics have control of their own destiny.
Math doesn't support your explanation. We AMTs lost a higher percentage of our pay than any other group and also lost sick pay and longevity. If we all lose the same percentage then AMTs still lose more cash because we make more than fleet and stores. But they tacked on a higher percentage to boot. But just like the TWU International you continue to try to convince us we all lost the same. So now explain how you kept longevity and sick pay. What other pay did you lose besides the pay cut? I will also say had fleet taken the beating we took and we were the ones who kept what you got to keep there would have been hell to pay. We were hit harder because of the 2001 contract when AA had to give us a higher raise because other airline AMTs were making so much more than we were. But keep on telling the same story and use your TWU math. According to the TWU Fleet 15% pay cut is equal to AMT 17.5% pay cut plus loss of longevity pay and sick pay. Not sure on the pay cut I think it was 15% but it certainly wasn't 17.5%. We still don't have sick pay or longevity by the way as you kept those in BK too. The TWU didn't bother to put Me Too clauses in the AMT contract as they did the Fleet. But again I never blamed any Fleet Service Clerk for the situation we're in. I blamed the TWU and their ATD which is controlled by Fleet Service people. The only thing I blame you for is continuing to push the TWU International lies.

Never said we lost the same.

Each unionized group had the value of their CBA cut by 17%. Stands to reason the higher your CBA is valued the higher your cuts add up to. That's how BK works.

Now, what those cuts in the CBA turn out to be is a matter left to each group, with the Company making their case for the "must haves," like the medical.
