BTW AA did you watch the part of the Danker video where he said he wouldn’t bring out what AA offered for a vote as it stands.

From what I understand (except maybe NYer) none of the TWU Fleet President’s agree to bring out what we’ve been offered either? Have you asked Fa or Greg Cozy what they think about it?

So it’s not just the IAM holding it back FYI.

You did also notice that he seemed to be under a lot of pressure in his position with people filing constant charges against him and him mentioning if people want to vote him out?

And whatever happened to that lawsuit they were either planning or had filed against the TWU International?

If he’s not getting returned calls from Alex Garcia I’m not really sure what he’s missing quite honestly when he seemed very thorough explaining what the Company wants in his video? He had to get all that information from somebody?

As far as how to get to a TA that’s pretty simple. One side or the other has to move off their positions or find common ground. Eventually that will happen since it always does. Worst case scenario is that it takes many more years to get there though.
 
For those here who have expressed concerns over the rising cost of Jet Fuel. I expect we will see similar results at AA.

Parent company United Continental Holdings Inc. said Tuesday that it earned $836 million, as rising revenue more than offset a 40 percent jump in fuel spending.”

unbelievable blow-out quarter for ua. we saw last quarter where dl & ua told us how much they offset rising fuel prices....and aa didn't share the same info.

this quarter, dl said they recouped 80% of the jet fuel spike, while united got back 90%. will aa 'brag' about how it's handled this or will they remain silent because they can't get their arms around this like dl and ua have?

ua also put aside $127 million into it's profit sharing program, taking ua's running total to $252 million for the year.

ual is well on it's way to $100+ a share. these guys average $3 billion a year in profits, they can easily pay $2 a share dividend.

I don't think you admitted it. but if you did you had to bury it among all the other things brought up in the video. Danker did make it very clear that his relationship with a few of his members was strained and troublesome. He also made it clear there is some extra work coming in and was happy about that. But whether you want to admit it or not, his frustration with the Association was abundantly clear. Some of you here can continue to follow the path that all is hunk-dory in Associationville, when in my opinion that's simply not the case. As for your worse case scenario, I agree and I actually think that is the scenario that will play out..."Years".

But AGAIN you pivot it back to this guy is frustrated at the Association and you say NOTHING about who he absolutely did talk about which was THE COMPANY!!!!! (MANAGEMENT)

The Association (Alex or Sito) cannot give him or you or me what we need to put something on our tables to vote on.

Again (Go back) you heard him say that he wouldn’t bring the current POS offer back to his Members to vote on and I challenge you to find one TWU Fleet President (Besides maybe NYer) who wants to bring back what THE COMPANY has so far put forward?

Ok so it “seems” like you’re saying here that you think Fa could be lying about how he feels if he really would accept the Company offer or not BUT Fa may have International ambitions? I’m sorry to say but I highly doubt Fa will ever be in the International and he knows this I’m sure. Nothing personal to him. And rumor has it Cozy may be your next President anyway? (We’ll see)

So you think Fa would bring back the Deicing hit and a potential for huge growth of PT into his city? Don’t forget you guys still have practically nothing as far as PT compared to the rest of the system. And the Company never offered status protection either BTW. (You’d be fine though right)

Can you imagine if the Company asked for 25% PT in the Hubs? Ouch for DFW. (MIA is already above 25%)

EDIT: BTW I’m not running for anything in the Union at all. Not locally and certainly not interested in all the insane flying that International people do. (They’re nuts with all that) But you can always continue to try to paint my picture if that’s what floats your boat.

How ironic, kinda like you always throwing out here on this forum that I'm broke, desperate, greedy...even wanting the contract to take years in hopes that it hurts me. Yep, that is the picture you constantly paint about me. Is it safe to say that's what "floats your boat"

All kidding aside I completely understand why you want the money now and don’t want to wait. You want to maximize your (hopefully) last 4 years of value.

Well I’m sure we’ll get retro. That will cover some of those losses. But my bet is cause I can’t recall anything else ever being added it will only cover lost wages. And that won’t include Holiday pay, or what we’re putting into our 401k’s.

Curious? If Sito Pantoja retires soon would you automatically pivot to his replacement as the new Boogeyman or would he have a little time to become scary.

BTW the guy does look a little chunky in videos but I doubt he’s dumb. He wouldn’t have gotten to where he is if he were dumb.

You know he started as one of your comrades in the AMT Class and Craft back in 1977. (I was only 12 years old then)

Just an observation Weazz, I think some of the mechanics have, what we had at SWA when we kicked the Teamsters out. Our problems are with the Union that represents us, just like the American guys want the Association gone. In the end if you get a new union, it is still the same problems with management. AMFA had it easy at SWA until our pay is with the other majors, then it gets hard, when you want over $50 an hour, but you want no scope changes. Regardless which union represents American, management will want the same things. There is no magic bullet.

Yes. If his replacement continues to not support us then yes i will pivot to him. Wonder if they will have a change in mind and actually show up in dfw next week?

Did anyone in particular say they were or weren’t showing up? Who is it specifically you want to see a picture of? Sito Pantoja, Tom Regan, Tim Klima or Mike Klemm? Charlie Brown or P. Rez perhaps? Racer X? Tim (Kook) Nelson?

Again IAM doesn’t have many peeps working in DFW.
