American Airlines and Labor Negotiations

LUS original Piedmont Airlines Ramp and Passenger Service Agents have a Social Security offset in their Pensions.

Moreover the AA Passenger Service Agents have a newly negotiated contact with a expanded scope group of employees CAR (customer assistance representative) with a lower pay scale doing core work. Less not forget the whipsawing outsource contract piedmont and envoy express CWA represented employees doing mainline work

This is how JG and gang circumvent cheep labor
Yea, but he has a willing participant in the AFLCIO unions. All scab labor but they wear a union pin and the TWU/CWA, and IAM at Untied with UGE all getting rich off of our backs. CWA will have those red coats expanding more and more.

You’re right that nothing is happening. Eventually something will happen but that won’t be until they start talking again which won’t begin till next month.

So when are you going to quit with the “handlers” line? It was NYer’s line and NYer is out of office and back on the line on New Years Day.

I’m still not a TWU Rep and I didn’t even put back in for Steward the other day for the coming year.

I’m a nothing, nobody Agent/Clerk just like you (Although I’m not a Dues objector)

Anyway can’t stop you from your habit of hurling insults I guess. It’s beyond your control perhaps?

I accepted a gig I like back in 1995. That was a job at AA. It has days it’s a little taxing but overall it could be a lot worse.

I like this one very much cause it holds the real truth you don’t like to expose. You’re 58 years old and you’re desperate to get a new contract and hope to be out of the IAMPF and build a nest egg.

You yourself stated here that unfortunately you have 12 more years to go under your current circumstances.

Feelings of desperation really suck. I know. I’ve been there myself in the past. You should get out of Chicago and find a cheaper place to live.
because you do have handlers. There wouldn't all be calling you if you weren't their social media butterfly. Yes I plan on working many more years. Not because anyone has to. I can comfortably retire with a very good financial situation now but our job is a breeze. Why would I want to retire? I retired when I filled out my application.
Relax!

That's actually not true. HA has a similar program (actually, it's worse) in their contract.

And you already know that, because I showed you where to look it up months ago.

Either you have a bad memory or are deliberately attempting to deceive.

P.S. Neither of my pensions have an offset, either.
The reality is that the IAM is the "Father of Ready Reserve". They begged USair for it in return for a dues grab. But the company had other ideas and got the massive concessions from us in 2003 and never gave the IAM squat fo rnew members. Then the IAM did it again by agreeing to "Mainline Express Agents" that got a top out of $13, the IAM signed it after they agreed to contract out 45 more stations but then the company tricked them again and scrapped the Mainline express.

But, yea, the IAM and AFLCIO unions were the ones who initiated Ready Reserves. Delta had to follow to stay competitive.

Tim,
Are all the UA temporary employees at ORD subject to initiation fees to the GL, DL 141, and LL 1487? This is how IBT treats their brothers and sisters:

https://boston.cbslocal.com/2018/12/20/i-team-seasonal-ups-workers-entire-paychecks-teamsters-union/

Nice Merry Christmas from your union. As the lady explains in the video she didn’t get anything from the IBT. It’s not like as a seasonal employee she got healthcare or a cushy pension.

Merry Christmas Tim and everyone else.

Josh
Yes. Temp workers at United pay initiation and then dues. They get no seniority, nothing. Are allowed to work 180 days but Local Committees often sign extensisions with management and you can almost never get rid of them. With the TWU, they hose all of its workers by allowing the company to dump massive amounts of Temp workers. Not sure if Delta has temp workers?

Merry Christmas Josh. Next time you are in ORD, hit me up at Dunkin Donut

I don’t have any Handlers or Bosses Nelson. Accusing someone of having handlers is an extremely insulting insinuation to call someone but I guess maybe you really believe I have handlers as much as I believe that you have severe Mental conditions and why I call you KOOK.

Anyway Tim I did honestly talk to Alex after our election results came out here in MIA. Of course he was glad Sidney lost (Why would he not be) and he was also happy our mutual friend Chuck won. (Again why would he not be)

He did mention you one time early in the year. I get the impression he thinks your hysterical? I know he doesn’t consider you to be any threat to anything frankly. He didn’t place too much concern in AMP either.

Anyway FYI I always kept in touch with Alex over the years when I left MIA back in 2005. We had/have a friendship. Maybe friendships are beyond your understanding?

Tim have you ever had a mental evaluation BTW? If you look around at all your other coworkers you HAVE to realize that you’re VERY different from everyone else. A mental evaluation shouldn’t be something for you to be afraid of. It could be life altering in a good way for you?

Redcoats at unorganized LAA didn’t do core work like ticketing, receipt and dispatch. Most of the redcoats had never used Sabre. And with them now using LUS QIK that allows the company to churn more low wage, no benefit high turnover employees through with minimal investment in training unlike native Sabre. Redcoats did basic kiosk bag check work and mainline agent did ticketing, premium check-in, etc.

So CARs has been great for the union (more dues) and great for the company but the agents not so much as you alluded to above.

Thanks Tim! Will do.

AANOTOK are you sure it’s me who takes the topic off the rails? Did you ever think of trying to ask these people politely if they would start separate threads to discuss all their issues?

This thread has (expectedly) unfortunately become a catch all for all sorts of whatever. (Goofy chit mostly)

Alex' opinion of me doesn't matter, I"m not an association member so he can do whatever he wants. My opinion of him is that he is a management shill or just very dumb. He may have a high IQ, I just mean that he is pretty ignorant and untrained as far as negotiations. The Association should have either contracted with a professional negotiator or consulted me and we would have had a better contract and had it wrapped up in under 6 months.
And it was ridiculous how they yielded to Gary Peterson who claimed that he would get a contract by last Christmas (Something that you said 100% was going to happen) by wearing a tin hat and concocting a dumb arse conspiracy theory thinking that he would play Parker against Isom.
(Still, to this day, the most ridiculous negotiating ploy I have ever witnessed.). Thankfully, he removed the mirror in the back and we don't have to watch him in underwear videos. But at least the mediators set him and alex straight and threatened to put things on ice if they didn't keep running juvenile plays.

Alex' submission to Sito is annoying, I must say, but whatever the case both him and Sito need to finally embrace the company offer and let people vote. I'l push a yes vote since the next one will be worse as Alex pissed away all leverage already. Let Gary Peterson put out a rejection letter even, who cares? They can recommend a rejection, but let people vote. After we vote and ratify the contract, Alex won't be a fart in the wind to me and I will wish him well. I did hear that he is a nice guy type, and that's fine, but in negotiations I would have preferred not having the altar boys pissing away our leverage to the point of no leverage now.

Do you even realize that you’ve written the same thing on this Forums maybe over 100 times now. I mean the same thing over and over and over.

And they should have consulted YOU? YOU? Seriously? LMFAO. Wow. And the scary thing is you really mean it.

Anyway here’s the TWU/IAM Association Negotiating Schedule. I hope this get’s through to you (it won’t I know)

I keep hoping it gets cold enough on the ramp in ORD to fuse his fingers together at least until late Spring.

I love his Winter videos with the same Sweatshirt and sniffles though. His “I am arsehole” videos.

Mike, everything I said about the IAM and its leaders is true.
