Driver, you are correct. But I am on record as saying I don’t think the IAM is trying to force all into their pension, just have it as an option. If it is a factor in lowering my 401k match, I would look really hard at voting no.

There you go. I like this post. It’s very “adult” of you and on topic. I just KNEW you had it in you.

Bravissimo.

You’re a true winner W, that’s me that gave you the medal...wear it proudly!

Great job on cutting each other down! No wonder labor can’t get its act together.

Let’s be real; we all work in aviation. No one can claim any kind of moral/intellectual high ground.

Here’s an idea; how about we all work to pull each other up instead of finding new ways to insult each other?

The same crowd that talks about unity just has a bag full of hate.

Adults try to have a conversation about getting a fair contract, but the children usually get in the way.

This comment coming from you at this moment was completely expected.

So I guess the “Industry Leading Contract” line has now been replaced by merely a “Fair Contract”?

Who’s going to decide what’s fair if we’re going to back down on things?

that's a problem in the sense...how would we (laa) know an amount of any trade-off if that occurs and how would lus know an exact amount of any trade-off for their insurance, if that occurs.

when a TA happens, the assoc. will have to hit the road. regardless of each negotiator being pro, neutral or even negative about the TA, will they explain in detail and tell us of this amount shifting here and leaving there?

Apparently, it has.

to me, the assoc. should spend a little time and tell us right now:

the company's proposal is worth x-amount yearly for each FSC and AMT.

in 2017, dl's amount of wages & compensation was this amount for each FT ramp agent and that amount for each FT AMT.

in 2017 ua's amount of wages & compensation was this amount for each FT ramp agent and that amount for each FT AMT.

if the company uses southwest as a measuring stick for o/h outsourcing and/or ratio of AMTs per aircraft, then southwest is also open game for the same comparison.

embarrass aa's top 'team'. show everyone how stingy they are.

i believe many FSCs are clueless about exact numbers regarding dl's profit sharing and ua's wages. they know it's good, but not the actual numbers to shame aa.

Apparently, it has.

Why am I honestly not surprised. Well they’re the ones who wrote it.

Crema I have no doubt that if they put out a Value right now it would sound great coming out the gate.

It’s over time where the value starts to break down and the value to our Contracts disappears into the wind.

It’s not about the “individual” it’s about the “collective” cost.

DP has stated that employees should have ps thats on par with DL n UA. He has stated that employees should have an industry leading contracts... His actions are the total complete opposite. DP if u want industry leading contracts.. I suggest enhanced scope using LUS. LUS health or somewhere in the middle btwn LAA n LUS. Enhanced benefits etc.

Crema, we do know what they offered on their (AA) proposal. Unless I missed it, I don’t recall them stating a figure on the IAM. We now have a base for the 401k match. I expect it to go no where but up and if the IAM is offered and the match drops below the base...no go.

Thats not true. Everyone BUT those on the union dime or union take, want a fair contract.

Every normal person knows that the iam pension is unsustainable and rapidly drying up. Another half BILLION last year alone.
But those loyalists along with Sito are making the iam pension the holy grail dealbreaker, to the point of postponing all future talks. TWU boss Alex Garcia wets his pants when Sito walks by so he has taken a beta submissive position. Me thinks Alex got offefed something in what could b a twu/iam merger according to strong rumors.
Whatever the case, even though we are talking about complete morons and madness, i managed to cuff Sito until what appears to be April 2019. The only wildcard was Alex, but he is no longer a threat as he took the altar boy route.
That's why you guys need to demand the changes you want, if that means representation change, then do what it takes.

it sounds crappy to me, coming out of the gate.

if we were voting right now, it would be 3% over dl, .24 cents on DOS for FSC? additional week vc is worth $1250 per FSC FTer? $3k signing bonus? add up the package and donnie delta got $7200 in profit sharing last year and blows away everything on the jetnet videos.

galvanize the workforce and show everyone with actual numbers what aa thinks of them.

driver you need to watch this thread a little more if you’re going to continue to participate. That guy writes that story every single day but doesn’t share one shred of proof of his off the wall accusations.

And changing out your underwear isn’t going to change Jack chit. Did it really do anything for you guys over there? It took you guys 5 and half years just to keep your SCOPE static with no growth.
