bottom line, you are now funding your own pension via your 401k. the money that corporate american once contributed to your pension, now goes to the shareholders.

The Pilots group beg to differ as they collect a 16% Contribution
That is also the ask in our negotiations, as it should be.

My prediction...a final proposal that offers retention of the IAMPF but not the LUS medical ...of course IAM members would be offered a one time choice of staying put or going to the 401K...regardless, it won’t come back for a vote and for good reason...

How about a hybrid.

What the current highest pension contribution amount in the industry? $2?

Either way I don’t see it being brought back if that is the only change...I think fleet is around $1.20/hr and mechanics around $2.15...I sat through a presentation at one point a few years back and those numbers were close at the time...

and that $2 will go right in the pockets of the iam as the pension is unsustainable. As long as I have a choice to get out. Most are absolute morons on this and will gladly stay in it.

. You are so full of chit your eyes are brown, you don’t say anything without an agenda. Usually your fantasy attempt to win an election. Sito told us and granted he may be full of chit but as far as I’m concerned he has as much credibility as you probably more.he told us he didn’t give a damn weather the was the pension or 401 whatever just the best retirement for us
And keep my name out of your posts

This was at one of your TownHalls, I assume?

I’m happy to hear it, as long as it’s all of you who get to decide what the “best retirement” is.

Indeed.

No, it wasn’t a town hall. None of the “Big Boys” from either the IAM or TWU have been to any town halls to challenge AA management in public.
I’m sure rat is referring to his visit to CLT...(well, I’m not sure).

Kiev this was at the union meeting he was at and as I said he could very well be full of chit who knows? He said he wanted the best option for us whatever it was his words.I came away thinking the pension as it stands now would not be around.( my words) I did not get to stay for a lot of the q and a had to go to my shift.
I would be absolutely stunned if anything invoving LAA would be in any sort of agreement.
All we get here are the posting of a pompous egotistical little man who happens to be running against Sito.Like national politics if he’s in office or running for office there’s a good chance he’s a liar.

The best the little man can do,is come in here and and poke the bear so to speak with our LAA brothers and sisters about why they’re not getting an agreement again just to support his political ambitions.

To the LAA folks ,I understand your reasoning for feeling the way most of you do if I’m in your shoes I’d feel the exact same way.
I just ask you in return understand why most of us feel the way we do.
Right now in Clt as it stands we,d lose healthcare and catering and there was no mention of cargo coming in hard to feel too warm and fuzzy as what’s being pimped as some great deal by AA
Plus the pension is some great unknown

It would be easier to understand if the differences between the groups were better explained so each side could understand the history and the viewpoint from our perspectives. That wasn't done.

There wasn't enough information shared on the hard and detailed work being done by the NC over these last couple of years and the fingerpointing about the IAM not participating in protests (which were not organized the Association itself) didn't help to reach an understanding either. Throw into that the fascination to point out every time the IAM is getting a paid holiday and the TWU isn't and you can see how some of the animosity has been self-inflicted, while other feelings have been left to breed.

Coming together should have started in November of 2014 and not in June of 2015.

after your tantrum and bs personal attack, you lie.
The pension is not the great unknown. Like other pollyannas, you discount the truth. The iam pension is also holding up progress in talks. Every ass communication, on papsr, is that management wants to steal our pension. So save all your bullchit.
And the TWU is getting hosed, dont sugar coat. At least man up like me and admit that kicking the can down the road isnt necessarily in the best interest of twu.

Personal attacks? That laughable coming a little pos like you.
Tell me do the letters F.O.mean anything to you besides first officer, if not I’ll be happy to make it clearer for you little man.

And what I meant was what will happen with that pension in an agreement of course that doesn’t suit your pipe dream election narrative.

really unfortunate that you have to display so much hate.
That said, the pension is toast. Period. Doesnt matter what agreement. Your future benefits that you already earned are "toast".
Its goin to be used as fuel to water that plant to keep it green in the desert. Look, it screws me too. Not sure what politics have anything to do with it. Even when I win, whats done is done.
Me and you will get $34 a month x years. Like it or not.
The difference is that you would be happy to keep tossing more company contributions in the fire, whereas I want to build a retirement.

cltrat, unless martinez is successful in getting Trump to flip part of the bill or allow the pension to amoritize over 100 years. Our pension is toast. Hate to break the inconvenient news to you.

I will admit that's an issue that keeps repeating in my head... I understand the Company's POV of wanting one health insurance plan/program for all employees as to standardize policies, but yet, we have these huge outliers on retirement benefits! The rumor I heard was that the 16% was not even a matching contribution requirement, but was automatic regardless of whatever a pilot would contributed.

Not surprising that selective "standardization" of benefits from Management extends just to the company's self-insured health insurance costs, but not to retirement benefits depending upon the work group? So Fleet Service gets the lower side of the health insurance AND the lower side of retirement benefits?

Did you ever stop to think for a moment that this was planned intentionally to keep us divided and weak? We are so divided and lost that no one group knows what the other wants or has. We only care about our own group and that's about half of us at best. This was all planned well ahead of time. For it to be successful the NMB had to be in on it. Mission accomplished.
