Can anyone from LAA tell me how much you guys pays for Health Insurance, and for what coverages?
 
Not sure. If IAM members vote in the breakroom, it is usually close to 95% turnout. I don't see how a mail ballot would be better if the ballot comes directly to you at work to vote.
Funny Tim the CWA was allowed to vote in the breakroom we had to do it in the lobby the last contract.I actually came in on my vacation.Other IAM contracts in the past were voted on some bar in Jackson Heights where I probably would have not come in. Besides what percentage actually vote? Phone voting would have a much higher percentage therefore an advantage in my small mind
 
Take the damn colors out of things and focus on worker rights.

Workers rights and social issues are closely tied together.


I don't hate myself, and I don't think most liberals do either. I am not even progressive on all issues.

Me either. I think it's just easier for those on the right to use binary thinking and see everyone through the same lens.

TWU traditionally votes by mail in ballot and/or telephone.

Both of those beat doing it at the airport. Would like to see a (secure) online option for votes as well.

We can vote on our smartphones.....And still will never achieve 100% turnout.

Al the IAM wants to keep the membership disengaged and disenfranchised. Look at how they have such limited voting hours, don’t allow absentee voting, and the tactics Buffy used to get the Boeing re-vote at DL 751.

The IAM prioritizes their institutional interests over the memberships. Just look at the IAMNPF, unlimited part time (more dues), UGE, McGee, etc.

your quotations and links have nothing to do with what you quoted me on. Union membership is in fact up. As far as union members supporting Trump, millions do. But you can keep on posting fake news just like you did prior to union members voting in masse for him. In Ohio, the majority of all union households. Prior to the vote, union people were somewhat fearful to say they were voting for Trump because they got mocked or would be hounded. When they went into the booth, they knew what to do to avoid the very anti union Hillary.

Another thing, AA operates a large percentage of Airbus equipment, all of which are manufactured in countries about to impose retaliatory tariffs. This will drive UP the cost of maintain these aircraft. Even the production, and support on non-airbus aircraft (Boeing) will increase due to the aluminum tariffs.

Don't think the company will not place considerations regarding these additional costs into the all future labor agreements. That is "IF" there will even be many more future agreements!

Yes, it was sweetened. Same as I posted in August. Let's just say that we won't be falling behind United. According to Fly. Delta is non union and they can raise their wages or lower them so who knows. As a LAA, it's most likely a sweet deal for you. Haven't heard about lavs. I know catering was indeed included in the August offer that was AIP, according to Fly, but then the company got pissed and took catering off the books, but I honestly don't know the specifics yet other than LUS Health is NOT in the company proposal that will be voted upon WITHOUT a TA prior to section 6 unless a TA can be had (Unlikely). All according to Fly.

It will pass, bottom line. LUS we don't have the numbers. Screwed again for us.

To get this offer to the members, Sito will allow management to circumvent the negotiating committee (That may be why he has put them on the shelf lately) and bring the offer right to you for a vote. As far as how the vote happens, the TWU and IAM may have different voting methods. IAM may vote at their station in their breakrooms, while TWU may have to go to the Local or vote by mail. Not sure but that will be worked out by Sito and Alex.

As a LAA, it's most likely a sweet deal for you.

sure. i get the part about insurance/catering...i know that kerry and david will tell you in the next video that it's great to be LUS agent, going from $20/hr in 2014 to potentially $35.50++/hr by end of contract? how about a LUS lead maxing out at $38/hr?? not bad.

save the wages and 401k enhancements, i had the same or better years ago. how sweet is it?
