The vote will be on January 3rd from what I understand. The Eboard recommended the salary hikes to retain its current officers (Sounds like CEO's at companies). The delegates at the convention were led to believe that several AGC's were going to step down because $125,000 wasn't high enough. So to retain our expert AGC's it was needed to jack them up to around $150,000. Basically the referendum will be to equalize their AGC pay with the AGC' Mechanics in DL 142. Those AGC's have a current salary of around $147,000 plus another increase next year CPI that brings them over $150,000. The Eboard caught some heat on this from some workers on the ramp so they decided to be silent on this and have a quick vote during the holiday week of around Christmas, only to find out that they were violating their bylaws and had to send a notice to the members at their last known address. So the vote was pushed back to January 3rd, still a holiday week and very few will be voting.

There was a conference call with many committee members and they were told to make sure they bring out all of their conventioneers otherwise if they don't push this salary hike that there would be no more booze parties.

At any rate, after the conference call, it was agreed upon not to talk about this but to gather support by word of mouth to key supporters. If the members found out, they would mostly be pissed off and it would spike the "No" vote.

Whatever the case, I just post this to inform people of what I heard. I believe the source is credible but maybe it's all urban myth. . I am not a member, thank God! And this wage spike is what I warned everyone about last year and Klemm and Baskett denied it. I hate being right all the time. But it will show the distinction a lot better from the new "No Frills" union with $30 dues and this large Corporate dues guzzling IAM.

Weez do you have a link for your election results?

Josh
+1

Dude got 9 votes and then he turned to the IAM. Weez had the same position I had in regards to negotiations and he was the IAM Trojan Horse among the TWU in social media groups, advising his members that it is better to kick the can but that there will eventually be a vote prior to section 6.

When things got out of hand, weez bought a few months by declaring a "Signed Deal in December" as his handler Sister Peterson told him. That was last December. That's when NYer called him out for the last time as a fraud and anti unionist.

That's where I hopped off the Weez fruit loop tour. I mean it was all ok until they lied.

Hey Crema think we got a good chance of seeing this in the next few months? Feb 11, 2016

We don't have elections. We bribe the NMB to approve whatever the TWU wants knows won't pass if we had a Democratic election.

getting back down to $36/bbl? would really see airline profits explode atop the solid numbers they are producing right now. with this quarter's jet fuel price fall, aa might get close to $3 billion pre-tax, for 2018...and this has not been aa's greatest year. "challenging", parker called it.

$36/bbl, i don't see it..opec+ cut production and opec will announce their cuts...so, they are much more proactive as opposed to 2014-2016.

the good news is that the break even point for n. american shale producers keeps decreasing. new tech innovations keep helping:

According to an analysis of Rystad Energy ShaleWellCube, carried by Reuters, the wellhead breakeven prices for 2018 are on average $47.68 in the Eagle Ford, $44.13 in the Bakken, $42.76 in the Permian Midland, $37.94 in the Permian Delaware, and $32.22 in Niobrara.

the airlines used to be helpless victims of geopolitics/ energy supply and demand. not anymore. God bless american ingenuity and innovation.

too bad this didn't happen in the early 80's...we'd have worked a career with one of the best blue collar jobs in modern times.

If you stop paying dues what can the union or company do?
Termination. Upon acceptance of employment we all agreed to pay union dues. There are a few guys that are not paying dues and are still employed but there are circumstances with each of those cases. In a nutshell there is a very high probability you will be terminated.

There is a pretty good portion of rampers here in Phx that are "dues objectors." They have the political portion of dues refunded back and it averages out around $20 a month and you loose your right to attend meetings or vote but who cares really from all my years here the system is rigged and the IAM or any other union will get passed whatever they want done.Technically you still get union representation BUT the kicker is when you need representation the grievance committee will treat your case with the least amount effort needed. So its best be in good with the union or company..pick 1.

So P. REZ thinks he deserves $20K increase insalary?! Up to $150K yearly now...That will be news to alot of people here, they keep us like mushrooms in the dark and only feed us the garbage they see fit.

Tim, let me know if this indeed going for a vote beginning of January and I'll spread the word best I can.

If you stop paying dues what can the union or company do?
Terminate you if you refuse to pay any dues at all. However, you can resign your membership in this worthless union and refuse to pay the 33% that goes towards political activities. So, I save close to $300 bucks a year by only paying 66% of full dues. I still pay my fair part, which is for representation, even though they don't represent a soul, but I took the extra $300 and tossed it in my Long Term Disability plan instead of being an idiot and handing the AGC's my money so they can just hike their own salaries to CEO levels.

If you want a form letter of how to resign your membership and pay only your required amount instead of supporting their BS Politics that I don't agree with, then send me a PM here.

We are getting more and more people to stop the full dues madness and only pay for representation. Hopefully, we will be over 1,000 by this time next year. But we are approaching 200 now in this district.

regards,
