Shocking, I think AE may pull out of the smaller markets they have dominated for years. ATRs were old,loud and mx prone but they were the only props AE had left.

Which brings me to another question, why did AE get rid of the SAAB 340s in the first place? They were the newer B series.

No one wants to fly a old and noisy inefficient prop.
 
Actually not very shocking at all. This was hinted at pretty strongly in the form 10.

Those planes are pretty worn out. I know that ATR had one of the new 72's in DFW recently doing the tour.
