Are you really saying that in the end, principles will win out over the dollar?

What I'm saying is that AMR is pretty consistent in looking at what's best for long term sustainability and its owners. Sometimes that means short term pain and suffering.

And since I know you can't resist the temptation to start talking about concessions, there are plenty of other threads where you can beat that topic to death. Don't screw this one up.

And with that long-term view, Direct-Connect distribution is where the industry is going long-term. AA is trying to reclaim the pricing power they had prior to widespread internet use and IMHO they will ultimately be successful because of the current industry dynamics.
