Did Amfa national negotiate a golden parachute for themselves!

Amfa members have continued to condemn the TWU for the perception of working with management to save jobs. Amfa bob has gone so far as to twist the facts about union business to represent the membership. In fact the membership is the ones who receives the benefits not the international.

Amfa national has a big stake in the passage of the contract in the tune of one million dollars. This would not be much except Amfa national has taken pay cuts recently and many of the locals are broke or have tapped into reserves to make ends meat.

Amfa National bought and paid for!

Amfa UAL concessionary contract: Amfa details

Just think they want you to believe they would not do this!!!!!

The Downward spiral continues!!!!!

Yeah,

Next thing you know, AMFA will be building a new Union Hall without approval of the membership, and the UAL management will be present at the ground breaking.

Ok, so AMFA doesn't have millions in the bank.

Can you tell us what the TWU Millions are doing to sustain top wages and benefits in the industry?

PS
When are you going to once again tell us the famous bedtime story about Jim Little and his without further ratification concessions saving 12,000 jobs and three maintenance bases?

Concerning the illegal payments recieved by the TWU CIO says:

"In fact the membership is the ones who receives the benefits not the international. "

If you go to the DOL website and look up what the TWU paid Robert Gless you will find that it says they paid him $55800 dollars, but in sworn testitimony Gless stated that he was paid $120,000 for the position. Gless also admitted in sworn testimony that the company paid him.

In 2003 the TWU paid Robert Gless nothing. The company paid his salary. Gless officially became a full time International rep on Jan 1, 2003. The TWU did not start paying him until after I posted on the Internet that the company was paying him. In fact the TWUs lawyer seemed very concerned about this issue during the Gless deposition.

Now, why would Gless still be getting a check from the TWU while at the same time collecting a check from AA? Because for one thing before he qualifies for the TWU pension he has to have five years in the plan, he doesnt, so by collecting a check from AA he is still accumulating years towards his pension at AA plus putting in his years at the TWU. Under the TWU plan the pension is determined by your HIGHEST year, not the average of your best four, like the TWU negotiated for us. So Gless is apparently still collecting $64000 from AA, which gets calculated into his best four years at AA while at the same time putting in his years with the TWU towards that pension, in other words double dipping.

So tell us CIO, how does having full time International officers like Bobby Gless, who the members did not elect, on company payroll, benifit the members?

AMFA bought and paid for?

Come on now CIO put up some proof.

We saw how the TWU gets $3.1 million from the company. WE see how the company pays the salaries of full time International employees. WE have also seen how the TWU gives AA everything they want without any resistance whatsoever. Your pathetic attempts to blame others for what the TWU does are almost comical.

Now you made the statement that the members benifit from having the company pay union salaries. Could you explain? I can see how the TWU benifits. They allow trhe company to pay the salaries of union officials, this leaves more money in the TReasury for their pensions and perks, but how does the membership benifit when their union is compromised in such a way? Even your President, Dennis Burchette brought this up at a Presidents Council meeting years ago, does he now feel differently? Maybe you should ask him?
