The scab-wanna-be-list still figures in to the agreement. The difference between five and ten severance packages. I didn't say you had to be on it to be recalled. If you don't want to quit and don't have a chance at recall, you can stay on layoff. Me??? If, (and thats a big if) this POS passes, I'm quitting. For all practical purposes I have already decided never to return to nwa.
From Dennis Sutton:
We will be at UAW Local 174 all day on oct 18th 9am to 9pm.Meetings at noon and 6pm.
Dennis....
I'm 3 hours away but I'm going to the meetin'. It's the first time since the strike we've had to vote on something. Show up and get a feel for what is really going on. It may help if we have some of our "cooler" heads at the meeting. 😉
I'm with you there Don. I am now making more than I would be in 2011 under that agreement.
I will not be going back. If this passes, they will get my resignation. My hope is that if this passes, they recall many of the honorable striking members, then have a realignment, followed by a layoff. Now that would be funny. All the newly hired scabs and the scabs that NWA had previously layed off would then be gone, leaving only the most senior members who actually want to work there.
