Curious why you call Avtech04 a scab? Is it because he says and votes how he sees fit? I'm just curious so let's not get emotional about this.
Don't worry about these guys, they're obviously disgruntled with the situation and are using me as an avenue to let their anger out. They know who I am but they don't know its me
🙂 and if they did, they would know that I'm no scab. I've taken bullets from managers for mechanics and even took responsibility for another mechanics mistake once because the guy was going through a rough time with his divorce, I got written up, 3 days off, but he eventually got through it and he still has a job, and with southwest no less.
These guys need to lash out at some one and I can take it, so be it.
We all took a hit in our seniority, 4 years! That sucks, but what can you do now.. Nothing! We might of gotten a better deal if the committee was never formed (as a lot are saying) or we might not have. The only thing I don't want is more of the same! All the back door management deals with our unions members support. See, The Teamsters are a strong union, they currently hold the largest hourly rate for any AMT, UPS @ 50.75/hr... Atlanta took it upon themselves, with Trebelcock guiding them, and formed a committee outside of the Teamsters, a commendable idea in order to get things moving along, but it still took damn near 2 years and we didn't go DOH! So, you still think the committee was a good idea?? or should we have followed suit, like the teamsters wanted in the beginning, and gone straight to arbitration? No one knows which would've been the best way for us (airtran) because it's all said and done now, we gave original SWA mechanics 4 years. So now, it's time to get past the old and into the new! We are all going to be SWA mechanics now!! And maybe, just maybe, these guys know what they're doing over there! They have the largest commercial airline salary (which you'll be taken part in), they've been around for a long time, they got us to give them 4 years... humm, that's a though one, I think i'll pick AMFA as my new union and SWA as my new airline, take my pay raise and try to enjoy the remainder of my career at my new airline, maybe you guys should get with the program... And if you really want to be mad at some one, you should be mad at the people who put us all in this situation from the beginning!! in the mean time, if you need me to be your punching bag, go right ahead!
