Why are they trying to get ride of day trades? That should be interesting
I have not heard anything about the company wanting to get rid of day trading. I will tell you this, it will more than likely be a no starter if they do. I don't think the company cares about us daytrading. For some it is mandatory to trade for commuting, it's also a very valuable perk for using to save VAC, F/H's, as well as sick time. It's also nice to use when you are stuck somewhere, say after a weeks worth of vacation, and you can't fly home due to over booked flights, call the bookies to get someone to work for you.
I have said this in another thread, but it really belongs here. I say we get another LOA covering all of us (SWA/AT), for any future aquisitions, buy-outs, mergers, ect... Getting it now would stand strong and hold in court if it was ever protested.
Her's a suggestion for a pay scale. Keep it @ 4 years in legnth. 5-4-3-2% in raises. And keep the bonus program going increasing it's % to 2%. And also have a 5% signing bonus. Remember, the company kept our retro for the last contract. NEVER should we ever forgo retro. This only allows the company to extend as long as they can without any type of punishment. I don't think they will be dragging their feet this time as they need a single contract asap, and I think the ball is in our court on pay raises if they want to get this done quickly. But, please be ware, the company will retort to the saying, "you guys will have to fund your own raises if you all want one", I call BS to that.
They are still reeping the rewards from last contract we gave them. If they want more lines in Els. then they can increase all above mentioned numbers to 5% across the board.
