Now that SWA has (finally) added BWI-DTW nonstops starting in September, will SWA announce any other new routes before the end of this year? Are there any new routes that anyone would like to see, especially to/from LUV?

I would really like to see WN begin flights to MSP for two reasons:

(1) to let the flying public in this area enjoy what a real airline is like, and
(2) to speed up the demise of Northwest Airlines

(granted, this is coming from a striking NW mechanic :) )

I'd like to see PVD-PBI, since it's the largest un-served market from PVD and has plenty of traffic to support a 1X daily nonstop. Once WN opens up some more DEN-Cali flights, I'd like to see a PVD-DEN flight as well.

PVD-JAX would be nice too (big Navy market and some 'flow' options via JAX)

why would you want to see the demise of an airline that is going to affect thousands of american workers and their families?

I would like to see WN begin flts from SAT or AUS to DEN

The next change to the Wright Agreement should be a LUV-MDW route. A good shot to NWA's chops by SWA would be 1 daily nonstop from DTW to LAS. This could be accomplished by modifying a new BWI-DTW flight to BWI-DTW-LAS and back.

More flights out is ISP! More flights out of ISP! With nearly 4 million people in Nassau and Suffolk, Long Island has a greater population than most cities.

To provide more fertile ground for good airlines, such as SWA, to expand and give those same people jobs where they are treated with dignity and respect.

While I appreciate the fact that you are calling WN a good airline. The reality of most of those people actually being hired onto WN without affecting their families is not probable.

I have a whole list of routes I would like to see added so here are half of them: DEN - TPA/SEA, PDX - LAX/SAN/DEN, MDW - JAX/PBI/BOI/TUL/OKC/ONT, BWI - SEA/PDX, PHL - DEN/STL/DTW, PHX - MHT/ALB/BDL/ISP, LAS - FLL/DTW. I would think this alone would require another 40 a/c or so, so I will just dream. just my thoughts.........

Why do I believe this is the beginning of the end for LUV. You can't live on fuel hedging forever. Don't get to comfortable.

What does this have to do with the topic??

What did anyone post that suggests that SWA is getting "comfortable"?? <_<

Maybe, in a topic devoted to your supposition, you could answer your own question as to, "why do I believe...".

I'm glad to know what we're doing with the remaining deliveries for '06. The DAL-Missouri runs have been very successful, and the Tahoe run is just in time for the ski season. I know we're looking to hire 200 pilots for the remainder of the year, and with a friend getting his type rating, I'm glad growth is still on the way.
