If you a referring to lay-offs unfortunately no, that ball is already rolling since AA says profit is at $87 a barrel and below.
 
in their 3rd qtr transcripts they said they were planning on oil at $130 (unless that was kerosene).
 
It's some reprieve, for sure, but right now only less red ink. I think anywhere north of $100 oil we can expect losses. But I have no doubt the pilots are salivating with the thought of a 50% raise. :huh:
 
The plans are already in motion to dispose of aircraft at UA and AA, so I doubt they'll restore too much of what was cut. Who knows about the other operators, but I doubt it. I'd think most have come to the conclusion that fewer planes flying with people paying higher fares is probably the right move.
