Nicolau unemployed since 2008, LUP # 32002.

You might want to check your facts. Nicolau is associated with most major sports leagues and is still viewed as one of the premiere arbitrators in the country. I think he was the head mediator for the recent NBA contract. But I know that facts mean very little on this forum so proceed.

Leave it to a Delta pilot to come onto another airlines' board claiming unchecked facts only to be educated on the use of facts. Do your research first and don't let your alligator mouth overload your pussycat A$$. George Cohen would be the arbitrator in the NBA dispute. So it seems you have been mistaken in your accusations once again.

Leave it to a US pilot to get it wrong.

He is not an arbitrator, he is a mediator who is the head of the Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service.

And before that he was a lawyer and negotiator.

During his tenure, Mr. Cohen has personally mediated a number of high-profile disputes including those between Major League Soccer and the Major League Soccer Players Union, the Metropolitan Opera and its orchestra musicians represented by American Federation of Musicians Local 802, the National Football League and the National Football League Players Association, the Federal Aviation Administration and the National Air Traffic Controllers Association, the American Red Cross and a national coalition of labor unions, and the NBA and the NBA Players Association.

Well sh*t.... that explains everything... no wonder he so badly fu*ked up the AWA/AAA seniority integration.

There will be an east permanent bid out tomorrow afternoon for the month of Aug. No details yet.

USAPA update for East pilots:

Today we withdrew our action in the Bankruptcy Court of the Southern District of New York.
As background, on February 19, Marty Harper, the attorney representing certain West Pilots, wrote to USAPA’s merger counsel threatening to enjoin the merger unless the seniority list advocated by certain West pilots was advanced during the ensuing seniority integration proceedings with APA: "…the West Pilots will be forced to file a third round of litigation and seek an injunction of the merger process…" Click here to read the entire letter.
USAPA could not allow such a threat to go unanswered and instructed its attorneys to file an action in the Bankruptcy Court in New York to stop Leonidas and certain West Pilots from interfering with the merger. On April 22, Leonidas wrote to its members and, in a reversal from Mr. Harper's position of February 19, stated: “Nobody on the West wants to stop the merger." As a result of that statement, we believe that we have been successful in stopping the threat and can go forward in the defense of our members' rights, without the threat of certain West pilots to deprive all of our pilots the benefits of the merger. If, however, we find that the merger is any way threatened again, we will take whatever legal action necessary to preserve the benefits of the merger for all of our members.
Additionally, in reaction to the February 19 letter, our attorneys are tasked with defending an action in the Phoenix courts for the third time. In the previous two cases, the attempts by certain West pilots to defeat USAPA's constitutionally mandated position have been rejected by the Courts. We expect no less in the case presently pending in Phoenix. Nevertheless, our attorneys have advised us that it would be best if we concentrated our efforts in rebuffing the thrice brought action in Phoenix, especially since we have essentially accomplished what we set out to do in the Southern District of New York.
Despite these attempts to distract, we will continue to focus our attention on protecting the rights of all our pilots as we move forward in the seniority integration process.

USAPA Communications

Try again. We know who is protecting our rights.

Finally, we would like to announce that a Meet and Greet with the West attorneys is scheduled for Friday, May 17th at 9AM. The location is the Coast Phoenix Sky Harbor Hotel, 4300 East Washington Street, Phoenix, AZ 85034 in the Oasis Room, 602-273-7778. In the meantime, we thank you for your unwavering support. Six years ago, nobody believed the West pilot group would stick together. We did, and we do believe that all your faith, trust and support is about to pay off

How laughable,

1000 "certain West pilots" are kicking uscaba's ass and they write a full spin commentary trying to explain why they withdrew their complaint that was dismissed??.

Look here you usapa morons, your complaint was dismissed, your feeble attempt at getting judge Lane not to comment on ripeness to judge Silver is going to backfire in your face because you were stupid enough to once again put out a discriminatory update obviously full of false accusations and devoid of any representational duties owed the West pilot class.

PS....what do you dues payees think of the BPR using general funds to continue to pay for the PIC? I think it is not germane to contract enforcement, a complete loser (just like your LOA93 grievance), and might even be a violation of the C&BLs (but that never stopped the corrupt union before).
