That's what my father (god rest his soul), one of the most intelligent people I've ever known, used to say when he encountered something that was rotten and had a bad smell: "RIPE".

So, in that respect, I can see why the westies are "RIPE". Maybe that's what the Judge didn't understand, when the westies were talking about something being "RIIPE", they were only referring to themselves!

In 4 months the miscreant majority becomes the new minority! It's almost over boy!!!

And the real losers are the minority within the minority.

Somehow you worsties think the APA are your buddies in your failed war against USAPA. Oh, how deluded you are.

The APA are buddies with the APA (as it should be.) The dissolution of USAPA is a fact of life in a merger that no one will mourn, even though your delusional attitude maintains that the east pilots are crying in their beer over this. Think what you want. The east pilots are happy to be absorbed into the APA, and proud of the job that USAPA has done in its short lifetime. USAPA has fulfilled its raison d'etre and now its time is coming to an accomplished conclusion. Bravo USAPA; welcome APA.

Had a nice conversation with an American crew up front in and S80. Really good.
Captain asked me what the problem was with the whole east/ west seniority thing... asked why we just don't go to arbitration and be done with it. Told him- we did, six years ago. The look on his face... followed by the comment "what's their problem then?"
Hmmmm. Thought for a moment. "Well captain, they're just a little 'different' out east. They think they can forget the arbitration by changing their name"

Oh god, the looks on both of their faces was priceless!
Captain said something like "what, are they that stupid?"

Oh man, was it funny!!!

So I reason that after your late night postings here, you went down to the airport this morning to the AMR terminal in uniform, and got permission to visit the cockpit to have this supposed conversation. Yeah. That's the ticket. And after you left, I am sure the converstion included "did you get a look at THAT?! Yikes!"

Any informed APA pilot would NOT want the Nic to be implemented before our upcoming SLI.

Dude, do you ever live in the real world? Yesterday we saw your "I had a dream..." comedy post and now today we see this. Interesting, to say the least.
The case is ripe, we will be working on a joint contract with American which is anticipated to be completed by August. In September we roll into the POR and bingo- all pilot groups are on the same contract. The SLI begins between US and APA- NOT US East, US West and APA.

Of course, you clowns will need a court order to get this through your thick skulls. But the reality is the only trick you had these past five years (delay, ripeness) is about over. Stupid is as stupid does, though, I realize you won't understand until it's already happened.

Talk about being out of touch with reality....
The new JCBA talks WON'T EVEN START (officially, that is) until after the POR date, and on the POR date, all past negotiated agreements no longer exist, i.e. the Nic. (just for reference, it's paragraph 4 of the MOU that you guys voted for by a 98% margin).

You guys don't have a clue. You're DONE! You can't get there from here. I feel so sorry for you (NOT!).

Sure, I believe you.

So you are telling us the JCBA will be complete by August or even September? Really, so just who is APA and USAPA negotiating with right now, AMR or Parker? Why would APA be negotiating with AMR, they HAVE a contract.

You might want to pay attention to Company comm, they have made it clear there will be NO actions taken until Parker actually runs the show. Might want to run it by the BK judge also.

In fact the NAC just put an update out today, they are indeed working with the APA. I guess you just think when the unions get their proposals ready, the new company will simply take them as is, no negotiation. Yeah, and you talked with an American crew. Right.

Yes, seemed like the timeline in the MOU pamphlet spelled it out pretty well. Isn't the seniority list complete along with the JCBA. 8 months after the POR, if no agreed list then 90 days to arbitrated award. Anyways, something like that.

I'm going to take one of my usual self induced forum breaks. Our pastor and his wife were running the Boston marathon when the explosions went off. He was actually at the finish line waiting for her. Thankfully both are OK, unfortunately all weren't that lucky. Everyone have a good week, both east and west.

Well the American guy I had on my jumpseat last week did not think it was funny when I gave him the facts of the Nic abortion. He also told me that DOH with fences would be fine for them. He also asked me about the scab history of you guys. The look on his face was priceless!

You and facts just don't mix... you're an east pilot after all.

The difference is that you make your facts up. East guys only use true facts.

I get the same reaction as Hawk does whenever it comes up in conversation. I've never had anyone even hint that the Nic was an appropriate solution to anything. Most just shake thier heads in disbelief when they get details.

Doesn't matter now, though. It's gone forever. Finally.

Yeah, yeah. Every "up front in an S80" story you have, we have one that goes the opposite way. Give it up you twit.

My guess is that you never mentioned the arbitrator put a guy with 17 years uninterrupted service behind a west new hire.

Just like in Wake's prejudicial courtroom, it's easy to stack the deck when ALL the truth is not brought out.

Did you happen to mention how the west saved the east, and now that AA is the bankrupt carrier, you are saving AA, too?
