Are they Hypocrites?

If the company is paying for parking for employees in other bases to commute from PIT, that is a foolish waste of money.

Either everyone gets it, or no one gets it. (speaking of commuters)

Free parking should be only for in base employees if the company is paying for it.

Except the pilots can't give you the cockpit jumpseat because of the FAA, the west pilots have had access to the fa jumpseat which let's more non rev's on, the east fa's apparently are cut from the same cloth as their pilots.
You are amazingly wrong. In your DNA?

At issue is the less than 200 "princess-parking" spots. DOH was suggested but, likely, will not be acted on. As usual, you got bits and pieces of other people's agendas rather than anything that had anything to do with reality.

The FA TA is dead and it seems "your" entitlement to your cabin jump is still safe. Happy?

Explaining to the CP? You're kidding, right?

And you lecture me on ethics yet you would let a coworker trying to get back to his family sit in the terminal while an empty cabin jumpseat leaves the gate.

Save it.

I can guarantee you that you FA's will lose this battle. It'll only take a few removals and the word will spread quickly enough.

Just remember who is the final authority on that aircraft and you'll figure it out.

....yeah, COME EAST. Let's see how long your snarky attitude lasts!

Let's see, US Airways reduced its presence at PIT to a token amount increasing the costs to other airlines for landing fees, etc; closed a f/a base there; closed a pilot base there; reduced employment at PIT. Now, they "need to demand adequate parking" from PIT airport authority for people who are commuting from there to other bases. Chutzpah, you got. Common sense, not so much.

I am just amazed there is even the offer of any free parking given the PIT base was closed... as a FSA, if I was forced to commute to another station due to a reduction in staff, I couldn't imagine still having free airport employee parking, regardless of who is footing the bill. We have dozens of displaced LAS agents who commute to PHX, and I seriously doubt any of them have free employee parking in LAS, but I could be wrong...

So Questions Jester.

It'll last long enough.

Understand that our contract will allow us to jump on those cabin seats and our contract will always take precedence over yours.

I had an FA tell me that it was "her cabin" on a flight. Any guess as to how much time she spent in "her cabin" after she said that?

That had a hot in her place in under 15 minutes.

Funny thing too, I never heard a thing from my CP.

What was once a faint whiff of Arrogance on an interesting thread has now become a full blown Stench brought on by Ego, Arrogance and likely a fair amount of testosterone poisoning.

Nicely done.

Yep. Usually gets that way when you show up and add nothing of interest.

Again.

Yeah but I have such a good teacher in you. Also back in the civil portion of the thread (Before you showed up) I mentioned that I wasn't so sure it was Hypocrisy that maybe it was merely the arrogance of some that made it appear that way.

From the day I started reading and posting here in '02 there has always been a small group of pilots who have redefined selfishness and arrogance with nearly every post. They would be in many cases the same group that gave the world USAPA.

What I find especially offensive is the attitude towards Flight Attendants.

My attitude towards FAs is great. In fact, I married one because I love them so much.

Its the arrogant one's that think they have any semblance of command on an aircraft that even remotely overrides the Captain's authority.

So no, it has nothing to do with arrogance on the pilot's part. It has everything to do with some FAs thinking they're in charge.

Hmm, how many pi;ots and flight attendants are based in PIT genius?

..........arrange would of been a better word, because it's no longer a base, but employees get Airport Parking "privileges" at many (non-base) airports.
